Character stats: Unknown Journal: No journal for Matthew Burke Grimes How It (Supposedly) Started Matthew wasn't born in Malton. He wasn't even born near Malton. To be fair though, he did grow up in Malton. He was born in Ireland. Dublin, to be specific. He lived there with his family for a few years before they decided to move onto greener pastures. Despite that claim, they came to Malton. His parents got jobs and they began to settle in, memories of Dublin for them fading easily. It took Matthew a little longer to grow accustomed to the change in setting but after a while, the feeling of being out of place was dissuaded. He started school as he parents worked, though he rarely was able to spend time with his father, his job as a police officer keeping him well occupied. Once he graduated from high school, he joined his father as a police officer at the Stadling Walk police department in the Edgecombe suburb, near where they lived. A Turn For The Worse Matthew was still in the suburb of Edgecombe when the outbreak started. Well, it makes sense that were he would be, seeing as how that's wher his home was. He, along with his father and a dozen other officers, were immediatly sent to the hottest zone in the suburb, back when the authorities still thought it was rioting. During the chaos, Matthew was seperated from both his father and the other officers on scene. Before he could rejoin the rest of his unit, the gunfire faded and dead silence was all that could be heard. Realizing the other officers and his faher were dead, Matthew wearily gathered all the supplies he could and set of for his home, praying with every step he wasn't too late. A New Start Unfortunatly for everyone involved, he was too late. He arrived in his neighborhood only to find it swarming with the undead. Ignoring common sense, he made a eeline for his home, killing any zombies that crossed his path. Two clips and four zombies later, he reached his doorstep. Of course, this only confirmed what he already knew. It didn't take more then two steps to bring his freshly reanimated mother shambling down the hall. Not having the courage to shoot his own mother, dead or no, he turned and ran. He fled Edgecombe. He kept running and didn't stop until he reached Vinetown, the adjacent suburb. After a few days brooding in Ling Boulevard Police Department, he pulled himself together. He gathered his weapons and started fighting back. Now he moves from suburb to suburb, looking for a safe enough place to lie low and stock up on supplies. Roleplaying Notice Notice: This User or Group enjoys the RPG aspect of MMORPGs, the category of games that Urban Dead falls into. As such, there is probably quite a bit of roleplaying and/or creative writing on this page and in said User/Group's in-game actions. In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off. War On Sheep This user or group is sick of survivors acting like lame sheep. Zombies are supposed to be the herd creatures, not the living! Not One Step Back, Comrades! This user thinks that the Soviet Union was awe-inspiring during WWII Violence is quicker Both diplomacy and violence solve problems. But violence is quicker.
