Type: | skill |
Scope: | zombies who already have Memories of Life |
Description: | Zombies in movies are often portrayed as pressing against barricades as they tear them down, literally flooding in as a wave of groaning flesh when the defenses give. The mechanics of the game don't entirely reflect this imagery, as only zombie players who are logged in when the barricades are down (often a very short period of time) will ever make it inside a building, no matter how many more are waiting outside. Zombie Rush is a skill that aims to allow such behavior; when more experienced, aggressive zombies are attacking the barricades, they form a crushing press of bodies that brings in more numbers than you would expect!
In short, Zombie Rush offers the notable advantage of bringing a zombie into the building who might not ordinarily make it in on their own. The AP cost to do this is (at a bare minimum) equal to the cost of openeing the building and having two zombies enter it- three AP. However, most times it will in fact cost much more to use; 75% of the time the attack fails, wasting three action points instead of just one. On average, a horde of zombies using this skill will spend 12 AP to bring down the last level of a barricade and have 1 extra zombie enter the building. This is not a free lunch- the attacking zombies have to work pretty hard to "push" an inactive zombie into the building. And this assumes they use the Zombie Rush attack ONLY when barricades are at loose, and avoid "itchy trigger fingers"; using it when barricades are higher "just in case they fall before I make my attack" may waste AP for no possible benefit. Because use of the skill is often visible (the user is seen as a zombie to those inside the building he enters), bringing an inactive zombie into the building does not offer the user any protection or "meatshielding"- defenders can add him to contact lists and attack him at will. It should be noted that zombies who did not wish to be pushed into buildings (for whatever reason) could avoid it simply by "sleeping" either in a block that contains no buildings (such as a cemetary, street, wasteland, or park), or by sleeping inside a building. Corpses are not affected by this skill. If implemented in game, a note to this effect should be made in the news updates; any zombie standing directly outside a building would de-facto be asking to be brought inside, and those who wish to avoid this may want to consider finding more peaceful places to rest. |

- Spam I'm not considering the suggestion yet, but I'm voting Spam because it has its own page. I don't necessarily object to this system but you can't change the Suggestion Page format on your own. Some users might pass over your suggestion thinking it was spam removed or withdrawn already. Put your system up to a vote first. This page is governed by laws. Otherwise this sets a precedent that anyone can present a suggestion in any way they want. Standardization is a good thing. You should withdraw this, present it normally, and put up the "page for every suggestion" idea for a vote on the suggestions talk page. --Jon Pyre 17:41, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

- Spam as per Jon Pyre. This version seems almost perfect though! Just follow the rules for posting stuff. --Saluton 18:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
