Your analysis of efficiency of the various weapons is pretty impressive, if I may say so. I salute you! --LouisB3 03:26, 18 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Thank you! --Argus Blood 04:54, 18 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Is there no page comparing the efficiency? Excellent job in any case. --Shadowstar 03:27, 18 Nov 2005 (GMT)
To my knowledge there is not. And thank you. --Argus Blood 04:54, 18 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Very nice analysis! You might wanna check the Search Odds page again, though - I think you input the wrong variables into your ammunition search formula. - KingRaptor 15:52, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
See my answer to LouisB3, below. --Argus Blood 19:45, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
I'm not a very statistically inclined person, but what is a "statistically valid sample," and how can we turn our Search Odds into one? On a separate note, I tend to think that the likelihood of being headshot depends upon where you are - your lucky zombie's probably in nowhere near The Elite, for example. --LouisB3 18:45, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
This analysis was done several weeks ago. I'm sure that the stats have become more accurate since I first did my calculations. I just redid my calculations using the newer results and I'm much more satisfied. --Argus Blood 19:45, 20 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Does it include flak jacket zombies? Most zombies and humans have flak jacket nowadays. --Radoteur 01:34, 27 Nov 2005 (GMT)
No, and that's a good point. But how could that be figured?--Argus Blood 02:27, 27 Nov 2005 (GMT)
Well, the flak jacket reduces the damage from 5 points for a pistol shot to 4, and from 10 points from a shotgun to 8. So, D=(4Hp+8Hs)... I'd just do two columns, one for "with flak jacket" and one without, since the percentage of zombies with flak jackets is not known.
In other news, amen to your commentary on Headshot. It's just as easy to level as a zombie as anything else, and I'm so tired of people whining about Heatshot when they should be engaging in an actual strategy. --Xiombarg 04:27, 27 Nov 2005 (GMT)
I don't want to start an edit war, but I think your "The Ridleybank Liberation Army prepares its defenses and laughs at zombie presumptuousness." is better suited as a pov response to petrosjko's quote, rather than in what should be a NPOV timeline. If you have an issue with this, let me know, I'll be watching the relevent page. Nervie 10:28, 5 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Insta-kill? Pardon me, but to get a FAkit you must be in a hospital, and hospitals are usualy full of survivors, and at THAT usualy full of doctors. especaly now that surgery has been added. I ask genuinely, how is this a n00b killer?--Spellbinder 01:10, 12 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Question Someone linked this profile in an argument [[1]] and I had to come check out your numbers. I wanted to know if you thought of having to move between your base and your target when doing this? (I play two firearms characters - boring me). With firearms, you can store up enough damage over a day, so that only one trip is needed (assuming three AP there, three AP back) to kill several zombies, where as a fireman must make the trip every day if you want to kill a zombie. This is assuming multiple targets that stay in the same general location. --Nessola 11:41, 26 Dec 2005 (GMT).
Are you sure on the formula you use, since no matter how long I look at it I can't quite understand how you came up with it. Whenever I do a Firearm Efficiency calculation I end up with much lower figures like 1.44HP/AP instead of 1.8. --Kryten 15:10, 1 Jan 2006 (GMT)
