OP: Whatever Happened to Fay Wray? (12-06-07)
The Second Big Bash had moved on to Wray Heights. In this operation, Team Battlehawk sought to oppose the Bash by using River Tactics against them in Wray Heights. We saw some initial success, and then ran into a snag as the Bash did an end-run around our safehouses and put us directly in front of their warpath as they headed into Gulsonside.
Despite this unforeseen circumstance, Battlehawk held their ground for two days, providing support for Blesley Mall and the local NTs. We were slowed briefly in our mission after the Big Bash popped our safehouses overnight like party balloons, but a quick assist from a couple of members of Team Anaconda saw the Hawks back on their feet and in fighting trim in no time.
With the Bash moving so quickly that their numbers had dragged out behind them in a largely ineffective comet trail of minor destruction, we were able to clear revive points and retake Blesley Mall with a fair amount of speed. The operation ended on 12-22-07, with the Battlehawks moving on to the Fortress Holiday Party '07.
OP: Save Eric! (11-25-07)
Based at first in Whittern Towers [52,77], our initial goals were to assist the local populace in retaking Pole Mall and Clapton Stadium from the Second Big Bash. We arrived to find that the locals had already done all the heavy lifting, and so we moved into a support position, helping to clear the revive queue and barricade the Mall and Stadium.
Shortly after our arrival at Pole Mall, our scouting parties revealed that the Bash had moved south to Buckley Mall on the south-most Buttonville/Wyke Hills border. We immediately forged ahead to safehouses located on the northern edges of Buttonville and Wyke Hills, assisting the local populace by clearing the revive points and helping to hold the resource buildings. We were accompanied in this endeavor by Team Anaconda and part of Team Cold Cell.
Buckley Mall had already fallen to the Bash upon our arrival. At one point, part of our force was decimated by an unpredicted turning of the Bash, wherein they rapidly headed north east from the Mall, clearing the buildings (and our unfortunate comrades) as they went. We recovered quickly from this attack, and on 12-02-07, the Battlehawks swooped in behind the Bash and retook Buckley Mall in a matter of hours.
