User talk:Malton City Gazette
A quick summary
Hi Malton City Gazette. You've recently come to the wiki with some allegations against our members, especially the sysop team.
Just to clear a few things up, you are former Grave Digger leader and repeated Pathetic Bill wiki page vandal 'User:Jackyocum'.
At the current moment in time you are zerging in the Yagaton area with a group known as The Smiths. Due to the fact you've left numerous clues to your identity in your character profiles, zerged in the most obvious way possible, and even responded ingame when this identity was suggested you were not that hard to identify.
None of the people involved in your current situation is a sysop. None of them have ever been a sysop. The only reason I even know about this situation is because I was asked to give my opinion on evidence collected against you. (Originally it was suggested you were cheveyo, but you're not that clever.) I'm sure you've emailed Kevan with exactly what you put on open discussions and arbitration. I wish you luck.
On a legal level, I've also got to add. Using the in game radio channels to demand people find you in real life so you can fight them? Not the most Machiavellian defence I've ever seen.
Anyway. Baseless accusations from an individual who can barely understand wiki code and has no idea who the sysops are. I'm surprised you able to figure out how to use proxy IP's in the first plave. You want to make a complaint, go to misconduct and make a specific accusation against a specific individual. For now, stop zerging, stop making baseless accusations and let us get on with things that are atually important. --Ross Less Ness Enter Stranger... 12:41, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- Here's a Protip, Mr Yocum: No Sysop used IP info on you. I dug up the name "Jackyocum" from (as Ross has been so kind to point out) your previous wikivandalry against Pathetic Bill. That this is actually your full name in real life was a complete shock to me, because even I did not believe you were that stupid. However, now that the cat is out of the bag (and from your own mouth, no less!) I fully intend to pursue this matter to the fullest extent.
- Signed, with much love and tender kisses, aPathetic Bill (also yes, before you ask, I did run with the Bills, Indian Larry. Sweet dreams!) CarelessWill 15:47, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- I don't know about any of this but I will be more than glad to note that IP information, without an ISP passing you special information, is worthless in identifying a person who hasn't previously released that information publicly. The most you can derive from a raw IP is the location of the ISPs server the persons internet is going through. It wouldn't be something that could get your real name. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 16:38, 16 October 2012 (BST)
You can try this, but unluckily for you, my legal name isn't "Jason". Have fun killing that random person whose legal name actually is "Jason Tu". --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:35, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- Wow, that's cool. He found out my middle initial. I love the circular logic. "Gasp! I have accidentally revealed my own name! I will now try and reveal other peoples details!" I wonder what your lawyer would say about that. --Ross Less Ness Enter Stranger... 23:43, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- I can help you out, if you need it. Ross' real name is Carlo Pedersoli. Axe's real name is Mario Girotti. Don't wait at their homes, they spend most of their time sitting in the front porch of Thad's home in Bruxelles (the J.-C. Van Varenberg estate). That gets you three current/former UDWiki sys-ops to round up in RL at once, which should be a good enough start. -- Spiderzed█ 00:04, 17 October 2012 (BST)
I'd like to take this time to apologize to the Sysops for triggering this not-so-clever man to try and track down your Real Names. Had I known that this would occur after I unwittingly broadcast his real fucking name — no seriously that doesn't stop being funny — I would not have used the radio as my medium.
Wait no. No, that's not what I wanted to say.
I would have used the Public Radio Frequency as my medium. A LOT. That's that I'd have done. But hey, hindsight is 20/20 and we can't take back the past. Sorry about your eventual death by cut-off-arms, Jason Tu. --CarelessWill 02:51, 17 October 2012 (BST)

Legal mumbo jumbo
While I appreciate that you want to let others know about the legal action you are (or someone else is?) taking, the Arbitration page is strictly for wiki matters that you want to resolve using arbitration (which you are clearly not pursuing), while the Open Discussion page is for matters of general interest that bear discussion (you explicitly said this is not a matter for discussion and have provided no specific claims to discuss, nor even a target for your accusations). As such, I've removed the claims you made on both pages. If you feel compelled to post them again, I would suggest doing so on the talk page of the sysop in question, rather than on a public page where it isn't relevant.
That said, I am not a lawyer, but it's been pointed out to me that you may want to be careful about making claims of illegal activity, since you might be setting yourself up to receive a countersuit for libel (and the UK, where these servers are hosted, has rather strict libel laws, from what I hear). If you're taking legal action against someone else, I'd suggest keeping it to legal channels, rather than bringing it here, unless your lawyer tells you to do otherwise. —Aichon— 05:55, 15 October 2012 (BST)

- It'd be a very very bad lawyer that would tell him/them to do otherwise. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 04:07, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- Lionel Hutz? Seriously though, in my experience, you'd be surprised. A ZOMBIE ANT 13:04, 16 October 2012 (BST)
- In my experience, those who posts threats of legal action are the least likely to actually follow through. The only one I've ever had to take seriously came out of the blue -- boxy 09:10, 17 October 2012 (BST)
