There are four sisters in Malton, a police woman, a librarian, a soldier, and a scientist, all with the last name Rae.

Raesquirrel: The sister given the nickname Squirrel, or Raesquirrel, is a soldier. She is short and has reddish-brown hair. She's searching for her two youngest sisters. Currently, she survives in Rolt Heights and is an ally of [The Rolt Heights Vigilante Patrol[1]]. She is continuously confused and amused by the drama surrounding them but have found most of the members to be good people to share a beer with. She spends most of her time healing other survivors.

Raepolice: The second sister, a police woman, has reddish-brown hair that bristles in a short braid and bright green eyes. When she meets a new survivor, flashes a picture of two slightly younger women of similar appearance and asking, "Have you seen my sisters?" She's managed to get confirmation that Squirrel is alive somewhere in Rolt Heights but is not able to make it to her all the way from South Blythville. She has received training from desperate Necrotech scientists and now spends her days reviving the unlucky and giving a friendly headshot to rotters.

Raezombie: The youngest of the Rae sisters, her hair is falling out, covered in blood, mud, and thicker things, and she's come under the mistaken impression that she is a very literate squirrel. She died in the early outbreaks. She'd been working at the library when hell came to earth, managed to fight her way home only to discover her husband had slain their children and then himself. He'd risen as a zombie and managed to get a good bite in before she chopped him into enough pieces he'd never rise again. The infection killed her and she was grateful for the loss of consciousness. Her unlife began simply enough. She returned to her beloved library to look after things as she had in life, only taking the occasional nibble off of guests, and only the loud ones. But then she noticed somehow that THE BOOK, the favorite book, was not there. She left her library and went in search of THE BOOK but at every library she came to there after, it was barricaded so well it was difficult to get in and when she did, there was screaming. And GUNSHOTS! Did these stupid harmaz not realize what a shotgun blast and zombie bits does to books?! A great bitterness overtook her until the day she came upon Jorm the Prophet of [The Militant Order of Barhah[2]]. That day she saw the darkness and realized her precious, precious books were not meant for the living. They did not have the time to properly appreciate them and tended to destroy things. So it is that she crusaded with them till they day they passed the home she once lived in. She spent days sitting in her living room, waiting for what she did not know. But it came. By that point there was so much buckshot in her head it rattled so it was perhaps unsurprising that when someone spoke of [The Cult of the Squirrel[3]] that she was more than happy to join. She continues her search for THE BOOK and hopes someday to see her sisters so they, too, can learn the miracle of Barhah.

As for the fourth sister, no one yet knows what as come of her.
