User talk:Raining Fire
Welcome to Hell's Paradise
There is absolutely nothing to know about me. I am just another gamer in the world of Malton, Fighting as only a survivor can. -- Raining Fire February ?? 4:20 (CST)
"The B.A.R pledge to maintain all these facilities... Is a lie." How is that non point of view?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought info pages were supposed to be neutral. The statement you made is your opinion, is it not? This is, it seems to me a mistake, unless you are trying to be uncivil towards the wiki. Would you be so kind as to explain what you were thinking? Thanks, --Belisarius17 03:44, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Read Aichon's Talk page. Raining Fire 12:43, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- I'm on your side in this, Raining; and I think your edits should be reverted. Changing the page from an advert for BAR to a diss of BAR isn't going to fly. I got no idea what the fuck uncivil towards the wiki means, but you've missed the point of that discussion. Try just making the page NPOV, it'll still mean you can clear out some of that BAR crap. --K 13:16, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- Your response here: "Read his (Aichon) talk page before you come at me with all this nonsense.Raining Fire 12:45, 15 March 2014 (UTC)" seems a little annoyed. Please understand, I am not trying to give you a hard time, so sorry if it seemed that way to you. - Actually I did read his talk page, and all of the edits that you have made. I was trying to point out that I thought you were mistaken in the comment. My comment to you is not nonsense or hostile at all, so there is no reason to get your silks in a twist. It was a comment from someone who also makes updates to location pages. I do hope you are not getting a persecution complex, but since you made the assertion let's follow through with your directive- I quote from Aichon's page:
- "In contrast, the location page, much like any other location page on the wiki, is owned collectively by the users of the wiki. You are welcome to edit it, but edits must be kept neutral, given that the location page is not yours alone to own or control. The current location page uses virtually the same basic structure that every other location page uses, though it's clearly been filled in with more details than that link I just provided. Given that the BAR is a notable group that has resided at the bar for years and years, the location page quite naturally reflects the undisputed fact that they have had a long-time presence there. At the same time, however, you have just as much right to edit the location page as they do, but because your efforts at that location are relatively recent, they'll naturally occupy less of the page at this time."
- So, as you can see my question is not nonsense because your statement "The B.A.R pledge to maintain all these facilities... Is a lie" is both erroneous and your opinion. You are not a member of the B.A.R., so I guess you have assumed that they really do not restore and maintain these facilities. Now to be fair, I would say your observation that the B.A.R. often fails to live up to keeping the area as well as they should is spot on- but what do you expect from a bunch of bar flies? I was going to suggest that you change your comment to something along the line of a NPOV observation that "the B.A.R. pledges to maintain these facilities...and appears to be living up to their commitments about as well as most people who have serious alcohol abuse problems".
- I am a member of the B.A.R. but I also run PKer, BHer, Zed and Survi alts, so I was not trying to give you a hard time because of some misplaced sense of rivalry. In fact, we won't have a Urban Dead game without everybody playing it. By the way, here is my alt so you will know who your foe is: Ed Zeplin . Cheers! --Belisarius17 16:15, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, saying "is a lie" isn't exactly neutral, since you have no way of knowing what they have or haven't pledged. They may have made that pledge, but are just lousy at keeping it. A better way to phrase it might be "The B.A.R. has pledged to maintain all of these facilities, though many of the local zombies are intent on preventing the B.A.R. from doing so." More or less, keep it factual and less about accusations and counter-accusations. As I said on my talk page, much of that location page could be cleaned up to be more neutral and less pro-BAR, though we tend to let groups get away with stuff like that so long as no one else minds. Since someone else minds in this case, however, it'd be in everyone's best interests if we could keep things cool and just make a few quick revisions to make it more factual and phrase it neutrally.
- Quick aside: Kirsty knows what she's talking about, so I'd listen to her advice on this topic, and Belisarius, despite being someone I've killed and been killed by quite a few times, is an awesome guy who will be square with you, even though he's on the rival side. He even was super polite when I more or less feigned surrender and then shot him in the back last time my group visited the BAR. He also hasn't yet accepted the invitations my PKer group keeps shoving in his face, despite the fact that many of us think he'd be a good fit. *hint hint* —Aichon— 19:05, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Responded
This is a friendly poke to let you know that I've just responded to your comments over at my talk page and that any future responses I have will also be over there. —Aichon— 22:04, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
Signing on a wiki
Please sign your edits on the wiki. You can do this either by typing ~~~~ (four tildes), or by pressing the button in the editing toolbar. Signing your edits in the standard format makes it much easier to identify when and who has made changes, and creates less work for sysops and other wiki users. -- boxy 00:27, 15 March 2014 (BST) 00:27, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
AS opposed to the Pro- Survivor dialogue in there. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I just wanted to say that I think that is a great line! Regards, --Belisarius17 04:15, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
