Wetherell Row School
Description
History
Wetherell Row Grammar School is one of the oldest educational facilities in Malton having been built and opened in 1901. As well as having some of the finest technological advances in education at the school, all students are required to join a branch of the CCF.
Bad luck seems to have stalked the students and staff of Wetherell Row School starting when the then Headmaster was found hanged in his office with his own tie.
Another unfortunate incident occured in late 1940 when an R.A.F balloon crew that was stationed at the school were found dead in their cabin by a local policeman.
Seventeen students were killed and twenty injured in 1980 when a lorry load of garden sheds smashed into one of the classrooms.
However in 2005 when, what can be now identified as a zombie, attempted to force their way into the school. A quick thinking member of staff issued every student with a rifle and directed a full barricade of the school. Two weeks later, three military squads who had just cleared the area temporarily, came across the school which was still barricaded but strangely devoid of all life.
