20070622 Include a Profile picture
Lord Wrath 01:33, 22 June 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
Skill, balance change, improvement, etc.
Suggestion scope
Who or what it applies to.
Suggestion description
I think the game should have profile pictures in the setting. SO players can see like a group symbol or charater picture.
It will have to be pretty small, or else it would take up too much space and the game will slow down very very badly. Just some lame suggestions. Mayber someone already suggested this. I didn't see any when I checked.

Keep Votes
Kill Votes
- Kill - I think it should be optional and that there should be quite a lot of limits placed upon the pictures. Also, the user can just place a link to a picture. --T 00:59, 23 June 2007 (BST)
- Change This is too open to abuse. Someone could upload ANYTHING; even something illegal (read:child porn). Perhaps some time in the future there could be an avatar function - you select the components of your face from a drop down list (Skin colour, Hair colour, Hair Style, Eyes etc.) and somehow incoporate what you're wearing into it. But as it is, waaaaay to open to abuse.
Spam
- Spam Dude, you didn't include your name (probably best for you), how this suggestion would work, parameters and limits to the pictures, the correct formatting for your suggestion, or how to counter people who would abuse the system (IE, putting naughty pictures onto their profiles). I might've voted "Keep" if you had done it right, but you didn't. --Secruss 01:54, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam Please learn how to put it into proper format before submitting. Someone thats not as lazy as I, please fix his suggestion.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 01:59, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Normally, "server load" isn't an excuse I would pull, but even small images could cause the required bandwidth to increase exponentially. I don't see any rhyme or reason for this, and I am not looking forward to seeing tons of pictures of trenchcoaters or other ridiculously out-of-genre characters. --Magentaine 02:49, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - If someone wants a picture on their profile, they can supply a link to it on their profile. armareum 03:49, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - i'd like to leave it as it is. you can always use armareum's tip anyway--Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 07:23, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam Pictures and colourfull graphics is what the Wiki is for, where the pictures themselves can be checked by a whole community and where there's quite a few (is moderators the right word?) who can remove anything offensive. Plus, i beleive that the creator of the game, Kevan would have to pay more for more data used by the server (I think). At the momnet it's all text. Add pictures and it would quickly become very expensive.--Seventythree 09:58, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - OMGTEHSERVERLOAD!!!!111!! Anyway, this is meant to be a text-based game. If you want pretty pictures, play a MMORPG that isn't text-only. --Anotherpongo 17:05, 22 June 2007 (BST)
- Spam - I guess Anotherpongo beat me to it. --User:Axe27/Sig 20:09, 22 June 2007 (BST)
