Welcome to The Crimson Clan wiki pages. This front page is made primarily for giving a brief introduction to us, and for recruitment information. If you're looking for more specific information, please have a look on the above subpages navigator.
Who are we?
The Crimson Clan is a survivor group, based in and around the suburb of Havercroft in central Malton. The Clan has declared the area surrounding Ackland Mall its domain, and intends to make life difficult for the local PKers and ferals. Due to the varying numbers of prey in central Clan domain, some squads are occasionally seen far into hostile territory.
We are divided into three divisions - the Marines, Home Guard, and Militia. The different divisions are organized very differently to work as efficiently as possible. Our doctors and NecroTechies are able to provide revives and heals whenever needed, while our soldiers bring swift death to the infected or corrupted.
The Crimson Clan has an official radio frequency of 27.50 MHz, and a forum for communications. Many Clan members make use of X:00 tactics.
Both veterans and newbies are welcome to join our ranks.
An old photo taken back in the days when the Clan was based in the extreme North Western Malton. A hidden camera immortalizes the IWM leader Duce Nauks outside Gerrard Place PD in Roywood, moments before he triggers a trap developed by NTa Fippe and NTa William of the Clan's now non-existent Pask Team.
Why join us?
- If you're new to the game, we'll help you become a high-level player through our Boot Camp.
- If you're already a veteran, you'll get to play Urban Dead in a new way, in co-operation with many other players.
- Our numbers are constantly rising. Not so very long ago, we were only a small, non-influential group. Now, The Crimson Clan is one of the more powerful groups in Malton.
As a Militia member
- Very little metagaming: If you don't like forums, the Militia is the place for you.
- No officers: Do whatever you want to, as long as it kinda benefits the Clan.
- But still: You are part of a great survivor group, you have the opportunity to participate in competitions and operations, you have a "hometown", you have other players watching your barricades while you sleep, and you'll learn of the zombie hordes approaching before they strike. Also, don't forget to carry a radio tuned to 27.50 MHz!
As a Home Guard
- Sometimes orders, sometimes not: In times of peace, you're free to do whatever you want to.
- Metagaming: You don't need to check the forums more every 2-3 days, although of course, you're free to be more active as you wish.
- Join Clan competitions: Every now and then, competitions are held in the Clan. Last year, we held a Bounty-hunting competition, and ended up with joint winners - Mr Leon & LK Oddjob, who both well earned the titles 'Crimson Assassin'. This is just one of our range of games & competitions, organised by our Entertainments Adviser.
As a Marine
- Take a challenge: We expect you to become one of the finest and most disciplined soldiers in Malton.
- See Malton: The Marines are not only stationed in the Clan domain, but are also sent on missions far into hostile territory.
- Bounty hunting: A major part of the life as a Marine is spent hunting PKers and zed spies.
- X:00 tactics: Several players logging on at the same time means a good opportunity for cooperation, plus a devastating effect in combat.
- Meet new friends: The close cooperation of the Marines gives you the opportunity to make new friends.
NB - If you would like to join us, post a link to your UD profile here, and change your UD profile group tag to The Crimson Clan. New members default to Militia assignment. You may apply for Home Guard / Marine assignment though you will have to be member for a week or more first.
General news
June 25th, '09
- And yet another session of commander elections at the Crimson Clan is over. After a couple of rather unpleasant claims of cheating, Legend812 emerged with the title of clan commander, and has not hesitated since. He has decided to put the spotlight on recruitment, and has already brought many new people to our forums, to visit or to join. Either way, the forum is looking decidedly healthier than it was a week or so back. Keep up the good work, Legend! In other news, Ackland is undergoing bad times as zeds come knocking on the doors. --Jsrbrunty 22:30, 25 June 2009 (BST)

- Clan commander elections are underway again. Nominations time is nearly finished, and voting should be starting soon. Ackland has been under attack, but has borne it all in good grace, with the help of many brave survivors. --Jsrbrunty 16:26, 13 June 2009 (BST)
May 1st, '09
- Foxtrot LT, Deus257, has recently resigned his post, to be taken by Jsrbrunty. Foxtrot and Novo are currently away from home, and have been helping the DHPD reclaim their homeland in Dunell Hills. The campaign has been a complete success, and we'll soon be moving on. Back home, the Militia report that all is well, and Ackland appears to be secure for the moment. --Jsrbrunty 20:15, 1 May 2009 (BST)
March 17th '09
- The Clan is now focusing on three MMORPGs - one of them still being Urban Dead. On behalf of UD, The Clan relinquished Boot Camp unit and Commander Waak merged Alpha and Delta units due to low members in both units. The LT of the new unit - called "Foxtrot XIII" (FXIII) - is the former Alpha LT Deus257, as Delta LT Jimbo3 resigned from his position earlier today. Ackland Mall is still holding and the zombie numbers haven't risen but break-ins are still common. --Waak 17:32, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
March 15th, '09
- The elections have closed and the results are clear - after two years of service in The Crimson Clan Waak is now the Commander of the Clan for the next three months. Situation in Ackland is not getting better as now over 50 zombies are knocking on the doors and asking for brains.--Waak 00:06, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
March 10th, '09
- Nominations have been collected, and the following people were nominated: Waak, Deus257 and Jimbo3. Unfortunately, Jimbo did not wish to stand in the elections, so it's down to Deus & Waak. The elections are well underway, and Waak appears to have taken a significant lead, but there is time yet for Deus to strike back. Best of luck to both of you! Clannies are currently at home, defending Ackland from a patient group of zombies, who wait (in vain, may I add) for our guard to drop. We hope to bore these rotten-brained personnel to death (or to some other mall elsewhere), and if this tactic fails then we may need to resort to the good old-fashioned shottie. Never been known to fail. --Jsrbrunty 21:59, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
