===Revolutionary===
The rank of Revolutionary is a Homeland Defence designation.  All interested applicants need to meet a few requirements before they will be given the rank of Revolutionary.  You must be a Blackhawk Nation member for at least 1 weeks.  You must have posted a minimum of 20 times in the forum with an average daily post of 0.5 post per day.  You must prove that you are active in both the forum and Urban Dead.  After fulfilling these requirements you will attain the rank of Revolutionary and become an official Homeland Defence member.  We consider all our member's to be valuable but the Homeland Defence is the true starting point for the Blackhawk Nation's metagamers.  We would like to see all of our members aspire to the Homeland Defence, though we understand that metagaming is not for everyone.

===Freedom Fighter===
A Freedom Fighter is a veteran of the Homeland Defence. In order to become a Freedom Fighter, you must have been in the Blackhawk Nation at least 30 days, you must have all of the survivor skills, and you must have at least 100 posts in the forum.

===Ranger===
The rank Ranger is granted to any Blackhawk Nation member who has been in the Homeland Defence for at least 1 week, has posted a minimum of 100 times in the forum, and has proven himself worthy in combat.  The Rangers are not for everyone.  They require dedication and participation on a regular basis.  If you want continual action, challenging missions, and enjoy working with others, you should strive to become a Ranger.

===Captain (Cpt)===
Achieving the rank of Captain means that you have proven that you are a great leader, that you participate in most missions, and that you frequent the forums on a daily basis. You will be expected to assist in many other duties within the Blackhawk Nation as well as lead your squad. As a Captain, you are considered part of the Leadership Team and will be given the highest level of access to our forums. A Captain helps organize strategic plans and missions. A Captain gives orders to squads and expects them to be carried out.  A Captain must report the progress of each squad to the Commander. Captains must be very active in the forum, have proven themselves useful during missions, and have shown leadership abilities along with desire. To become a Captain, you must have been in the Blackhawk Nation at least 90 days, you must log onto the forum on a daily basis, and you must regularly take part in our missions.

===Advice for low level characters===
All low-level members should hang around their safehouse, getting XP while focusing on gaining the Free Running, Diagnosis, First Aid, NecroTech Employment, and Construction skills (important!). It is also good to get a Toolbox, a DNA Extractor, and your Basic Firearms Training skills, along with a Pistol, a Shotgun, some ammo, and First Aid Kits (FAK's). Experience will help you learn what you need and what you don't but if you have questions about anything, please ask us on the forum.

All members should find a cellphone and a radio. Keep your radio tuned to 27.50 MHz at all times so you can receive important orders and information from the Blackhawk Nation. This is especially important for Blackhawk Nation members who do not wish to metagame. This is the only good way to keep in touch with non-metagaming Blackhawk Nation members.
