<br>Ever since it's opening in the early 90's, motel owner Steven Manly attempted to outdo nearby temporary accommodation alternatives by introducing several unorthodox schemes, including the hiring of a staff of monkey housekeepers, an all-night carwash service, and then, again, in 1999, more monkey housekeepers. Needless to say, the carwash made little to no revenue and the monkeys made more mess than they were capable of cleaning. And so, in May 2003, Manly decided to go in a completely new direction and restrict patronage to the male population only, painting the motel as a place "For Manly Men, By Manly Men", in the hopes of hitting some kind of niche market of body builders, athletes, and construction workers. Rumours soon spread that "The Manly" had become some kind of secret gay brothel, and quickly lost respect amongst the predominantly homophobic Roachtown public. The property was sold in early 2005 to an anonymous [[Malton]] developer and was due to be demolished to make room for a multi-story pet store specialising in primates, but the [[Malton Incident]] hindered progress somewhat.

Description

Manly motel.jpg
Located at coordinates 59,30, The Manly Motel is three stories of inconspicuous white brick building, located between the sources of knowledge and medicine. Although being situated close to the center of evil, too, it still remains a starting point for the strong-minded and the suicidal. Heavy barricades being constant witnesses.

History

The Manly Motel.jpg
Ever since it's opening in the early 90s, motel owner Steven Manly attempted to outdo nearby temporary accommodation alternatives by introducing several unorthodox schemes, including the hiring of a staff of monkey housekeepers, an all-night carwash service, and then, again, in 1999, more monkey housekeepers. The property was sold in early 2005 to an anonymous Malton developer and was due to be demolished to make room for a multi-story pet store specialising in primates, but the Malton Incident hindered progress somewhat.

Some sources indicate that John Wayne may have once had a room here.
