Operated by the owner of Club Dupe, the Sellwood was notorious for rowdy parties and nuisance complaints as a consequence of the spill-over atmosphere from Club Dupe. Was briefly in the news in 2001, when a scandal involving a Ft. Creedy colonel and an enlisted man hit the papers. A private video detailing the "fraternizing between ranks" at the Sellwood Motel was leaked and quickly made the rounds on the internet.
