Any relation to Buckaroo Banzai (the best bad 80's movie ever)?--'STER 20:02, 1 Dec 2005 (GMT)
In a roundabout way, yes. Our forum is based around the MechWarrior4 series of games, and our competitive wing takes its name from a mercenary unit in that game's fictional universe, which in turn takes its name from Buckaroo Banzai movie. We don't roleplay from that history, though -- we're mostly just insane, and our forum has rich history of insanity to draw from.--Eli James 01:20, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)
There is nothing wrong with insanity... --BlueMoonWolf
Sanity is highly over-rated, and not likely a trait that inhances survival. You'll drive yourself insane trying to keep hold of your marbles in situations like Malton; just relax, let go, and enjoy the ride, instead. --empath 15:37, 2 Dec 2005 (GMT)

Sanity is for the simple-minded, anyways. Riktar 19:42, 3 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Insanity is the fluffy pillow that one sits on to ignore the bumpiness of reality. That, and the pillow floats. Above the Zombie horde. And there are bunnies around the pillow. White, fluffy bunnies. White, fluffy, dangerous, lethal, bloodthirsty bunnies...

Time. It holds us in it's grasp like a giant koala with dentures. We are slaves. Slaves to Denture Koala and his army of lightbulbs with feet.

Between DEST, at least a half dozen ferals, and my own Classic Battletech Revolutionaries (And a few members of the Fyrbank Hunters,) just how many Battletech/Mechwarrior fans are there? (And where did the Wombat fetish come from anyway?) Axeman89 00:48, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)
I think the wombat thing started here. Quite possibly one of Mustard's most brilliant posts ever. --Eli James 17:11, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Lol, great coincidence, because here, Wombat is Queen! http://forums.classicbattletech.com/ Axeman89 22:42, 9 Dec 2005 (GMT)
Hey i used to play mechwarrior 4, and was fairly familiar with the names of the regulars,i dont recognize any of you, what were your game names? Im sure id remember--grassman 19:43, 31 Dec 2005 (GMT)
For the most part we all play or played under the names we use as our forum tags. BI-Shiro, BI-Dojo, and and BI-Ronin used to be some of the most popular servers on the Zone, back in the day. Ah, the good old days.

Remember Remember the 5th of November
Good soldiers and civilians of Malton, I speak to you with the desire for freedom and liberation. Where is my heart set, my desire bound to be let out? Ridleybank, brothers and sisters. Please remember the 5th of November, the day all of Malton shall take Ridleybank back from the evil menace. Tell all you know to join your flanks and charge!
