News

March 14
After the recent three-pronged zed attacks in the south west of Malton, Concerned Citizens HQ has been ruined along with much of the surrounding suburb. Members were lost in later battles further south as they slept and drew up plans for the counter-offensive.
As expected, the massive horde push was a short-lived attack with the sole goal of destroying resources. Well prepared, Citizens have since made a successful drop behind enemy ranks and repaired a number of buildings including the nearest hospital, several neighboring buildings, and the HQ itself.
Members still scouting in other parts of the city are encouraged to return to the HQ to help with the reconstruction and defense against the feral zeds that seem to believe they are holding ground. Specifically, there is a need for qualified revivification technicians to man the revive point and defend the HQ. A number of friendlies are waiting for revive but the HQ staff is limited to active CLAW members at the moment. -- BackBraker 12:26, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Operation Fortress, a new "peace keeping" mission to Spraklingbank/Pitneybank has been suggested. Check the War Room for details.
December 29
A new location for an HQ has been proposed. Team members should visit the hidden forums for details.

We have a couple of news items today.
First, Hl bmlogo.png Black Mesa has joined our growing list of allies.
Second, I have listed a new mission proposal on the forums. Stop by and add your thoughts. We need to start thinking about what our team needs.
Third, we have a new sticky resource for the team in the team forums. Stop by and add your own information to make life a little easier for the team as a unit. -- BackBraker 03:40, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Today older communications with other units throughout Malton yielded some success. Runners contacted members of the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit with offer of an alliance some months ago. An affirmative response was received today.

Project Black Mesa East went rather smoothly for our team. We joined a fair sized force headed toward Dowdney Mall. Our own team conducted a series of precision raids from our forward operations base. And when LUE decided to move on to their next target, the mall was quickly re-secured. To the members that aided in these strikes and the overall survivor force that regained the upper hand... Kudos. It was a good fight.
We have now moved on to an older mission plan we had yet to implement. Operation Ravenholm. Members should check the forum for more instructions. Phase one of this operation has already been completed, but was less of a challenge then expected. However, members should be aware that phase two will not be so easy. Be prepared.
On a side note... both Project Antlion and Project Black Mesa East have been written off as complete now. Project Antlion ended when our allies cancelled their contract and we had no further mission objective.

Much has happened since the last news blurb. Project Antlion has played out in it's entirety. The team is now moving on to a new mission along with VGCSU. Volunteers will follow them and take orders from their leadership.
The CLAW and a group of volunteers will begin work on our own separate operations in this mission.
Project Black Mesa East is a go. Commence operations immediately. -- BackBraker 11:05, 6 August 2007 (BST)

An official regroup building has been set. Members should check the private forums for the location. Congregate there until Escavel gives the go-command.

Also, we will be discussing the next phase of Operation Overwatch soon. The VGCSU is planning their offensive and we will again offer ourselves in a support role. Further, they are attempting to involve other, larger groups in what could turn into something more then a run-of-the-mill attack.

Details are still sketchy, but this has the makings of our first major offensive. Again, members should check the private forums for instructions and move to the regroup building. -- BackBraker 13:34, 4 July 2007 (BST)

Operation Overwatch has begun in earnest. However, the original goals have changed. It is now a mission to re-supply and support our allies in their current endeavor. This is our first major mission and we could use all available citizens for the fight.
Unlike our previous fights in which we were attacked by zed forces, we are taking the offensive and entering an on-going conflict to offer our support.
Check the official CC forum for details.

Although our squad had planned to leave Raines Hills with our allies (the VGCSU) on a mission to one of Malton's forts, our plans have changed. A few days ago, a group calling themselves the St. Anastasius' Royal Guard assassinated a couple of the VGCats members. On further study of the situation, it was learned that they believed the VGCats were members of the Concerned Citizens and had declared war on us a couple of days prior.
Silly us, we simply hadn't noticed.
Anyway, these senseless attacks attracted the attention of our members (some of whom had already reached the fort). We turned back to greet these guys "MIT style". But, the Royal Guard seems to have incurred the wrath of other groups. Go figure.
Most of us have been here for a couple of days, but... Citizens are encouraged to ammo up and report to the safe house. For further instructions inquire in the usual contact channels.

At the present time, the squad is preparing for a joint suburban reclaimation mission with VGCSU. Members are encouraged to check the official team forum, the VGCats forum, or Inconvenianced Forum for more details.
Rumor has it that VGCSU brought cookies.
