:In the future, perhaps we could just cite both of our groups instead? After all, I've seen your members around and contributing to the well-being of the suburb (admittedly, not in as large numbers as the SoC, but that's something that I don't mind since you're making an effort that's having an impact). It's a shame that something like this happened and that we had this disagreement, but if we're going to be allied and working together, I'd like to identify a way that we can mutually benefit from all of our interactions with each other, and if one of us is taking credit, there's no reason why we both can't share that credit. I see no sense in getting caught up over small things like this and hope that we won't have any more situations along these lines. :) 21:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

I hope all my future dealings with the SOC are with you Aichon, as you are both intelligent and reasonable. The issue I had wasn't with the SOC but with group politics. The suburb should be a page you can go to for information and not propaganda. I don't think including both our group names is a solution to the problem but would just slight all the other hard working groups in Roywood. If we can confine our group information to the discussion page or our group pages, I think the Suburb would be better for it.--Jerkkkasaurus 21:29, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
:Thank you for the kind words. I do tend to compartmentalize things, so while I won't ever be unbiased, when I'm in the public namespace of the wiki, I try to put aside any affiliations I may have and abide by the policies. I definitely see where you're coming from, and, frankly, I tend to agree. While I still think it's okay for groups to post if they contribute in a significant manner, when the comments stray from NPOV and become propaganda, or there's flagrant mentions of the group for mundane activities (I'm not saying that those occurred here, just discussing the idea), I think a line has been crossed. We need to be careful of that line, to say the least.
:Anyway, I think that activity will be slowing down regardless, since the bulk of the SoC has moved on to another location for now, and only a contingent has remained behind. *:On a first note - learn how to make proper edits to user pages. You see that + right next to "edit"? You use that to make a new category and not just cram your comments somewhere on my talk page. On a second note - this is isn't propaganda. It's a fact. We came to Roywood - rebarricaded and restored the suburb and that's the way it is. Your "group" (5 people in reality) established itself in the following days. What I am doing is not boosting our image but simply reflecting on a situation that we had a dealing with. When a horde moves in a suburb, it states "<Insert a horde name> has arrived and ravaged the suburb". Again this is not propaganda but reflecting what's going on. I've been around from the beginning of this game. I know how things are done and if there's a problem with my way of doing things I will be more then happy to listen to a sysop and go along with his/her procedure. Until then mind your own business and stay away from mine. I am a rational individual and I will admit when I made a mistake but as we can clearly see I haven't boasted anywhere how great and awesome we are but just stated that we restored the suburb. Until I do that, like I said - mind your own ****ing business. DarthRevan 05:52, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
You didn't take the Suburb back yourself, there was prob a dozen groups working together to do it. You *may* of had the most people but that still doesn't change it was a group effort. This "mind your own ****ing business" isn't going to fly with me either. If it happens in Roywood it is my business, especially if your spewing crap all over the Suburb page. If you have a problem with it I'm sure there are other suburbs that could use your help "restoring the entire suburb". Why don't you tone down the language and start speaking like an adult instead of a piss off 15 year old kid? You accomplish a lot more that way..... and one last thing, I'm not really interested in dealing with you anymore, if you have something to say to me send hes much more articulate. If you post anything here again I'll just ignore/delete it as spam.--Jerkkkasaurus 18:15, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Editing my contributions

 • Don't do it again. There are specific rules on the wiki, and there's also history. DarthRevan 21:58, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
 • Your right! There are rules about the wiki! You get a cookie! Where you messed up is posting your own groups crap to a Suburb page, which I'm afraid is against the rules. If I see it there I'll edit it every single time. As the rules state the Suburb page is not the place to post about your group but must be maintained neutral. --Jerkkkasaurus 18:37, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
NPOV does not mean that groups cannot be mentioned if they contributed significantly to events in a suburb (bringing in 50+ people and cleaning up a suburb in less than a week is contributing significantly, I believe, though you're welcome to disagree), and, in fact, you'll see groups mentioned frequently on various suburb pages. What is either against policy or is nearing the realm of bad faith is making edits such as your most recent one, which unjustly deletes useful information alongside the information you disagreed with. While I don't believe that your last edit (the "people" one) was in bad faith or against policy, your current one is, in my opinion.
In the future, the proper way to handle these sorts of things is not to delete or edit the other person's entry, but rather to move it to the talk page for the suburb, that way it can be discussed with others. I'll be reverting it for now, and if you disagree with my actions, you're welcome to take me to A/A, that way we don't end up in an edit war. Alternatively, and what would certainly be the best course of action, you can simply update the status of the suburb yourself with new information in addition to what has already been posted. Aichon 19:11, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

What you ask is reasonable so I Left the parts that "may" be useful and edited out the the non-neutral parts. I have also moved an original copy on to the discussion page.--Jerkkkasaurus 19:28, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

And now I'm reverting it to its original form. Editing a users comments is considered impersonation as it changes what they have appeared to say. You want to move it off the page? Fine. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:38, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

As I've moved an original copy to the discussion page "Editing a users comments is considered impersonation as it changes what they have appeared to say." This shouldn't be a problem.--Jerkkkasaurus 19:42, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Since there is no compromising with you people, I have just deleted it off the Suburb page and moved it to the discussion page.--Jerkkkasaurus 19:48, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I, personally, was okay with your edit, but Ross is right in that it does make it look like someone said something that they didn't say, which is against policy. Incidentally, Ross isn't in SoC or affiliated with us in any way, though, based on the few interactions I've had with him on the wiki, I do think he's a nice guy and looking out for the best interests of the wiki. Anyway, if we're just going to remove it from the page, there's no need (or desire) to leave behind an "edit" note. I'll be taking it out momentarily, and leaving the contentious comments off of the Roywood article for now. DarthRevan and John Spiro may disagree with my stance on this, since I'm acting without their consultation, just as an FYI.
In the future, perhaps we could just cite both of our groups instead? After all, I've seen your members around and contributing to the well-being of the suburb (admittedly, not in as large numbers as the SoC, but that's something that I don't mind since you're making an effort that's having an impact). It's a shame that something like this happened and that we had this disagreement, but if we're going to be allied and working together, I'd like to identify a way that we can mutually benefit from all of our interactions with each other, and if one of us is taking credit, there's no reason why we both can't share that credit. I see no sense in getting caught up over small things like this and hope that we won't have any more situations along these lines. :) Aichon 21:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind words. I do tend to compartmentalize things, so while I won't ever be unbiased, when I'm in the public namespace of the wiki, I try to put aside any affiliations I may have and abide by the policies. I definitely see where you're coming from, and, frankly, I tend to agree.
