Located on the southern edge of Richmond Hills, the Lavers Motel was part of a chain of inexpensive motels common to the landscape of Malton. Prior to the Outbreak, it catered primarily to business traffic traveling the Eastonwood/Richmond Hills/Havercroft corridor as well as to families of patients receiving care at nearby St. Mark's Hospital. It was also very popular among young couples, becoming known as "The Lovers Motel" by Malton's youth.
