Description
A narrow concrete building. Headquarters of the Bunney Street Police Force, Bunney Street PD was an imposing symbol of law and order. Its architecture replicated many of the features of the Norman castle that stood on this spot in medieval times.
History
Bunney Street PD stands on the historic site of the La Bataille de Lapin en Bois, known to the English as the Battle of Rabbit Wood. Historians dispute whether King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table attempted to breach the French castle that once stood here by means of a Wooden Rabbit, or whether the battle simply took place in a wooded area full of rabbit warrens. What is not in question is that the French were guilty of sickening war crimes, ranging from taunting the English ("empty-headed animal food-trough wipers!"), abusing their parents ("Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"), and - most heinous of all - committing gross flatulence in the 'general direction' of the English forces.
In pre-outbreak Malton, the police station was notable for being the place of custody for Wallace, butler to the late Sir Thomas, Lord Wymbourne. Wallace was held here on suspicion of having murdered his master, but died at the hands of his cellmate, 'Smallie' Biggs.
Barricade Policy
This building is to be kept at VSB+2.
