| While serving with the Rangers, he would accept the most dangerous assignments, seemingly unheeding of his own personal safety. His apparent need for a constant adrenaline rush concerned his superiors, who knew the Arctic Rangers existed in an unforgiving and merciless environment. Rufus accepted this and thrived, building up a rapport with his comrades. His loyalty caused problems however as he frequently fought on his fellow Ranger's behalf. When one of these fights left a superior in the hospital, Rufus was dishonorably discharged. Shortly afterward, he joined an outlaw biker gang known was the Wolfpack Brotherhood. Under his influence, the Brotherhood went from being a mild irritant to the Swedish authorities to becoming the home of the most wanted criminals of the nation. Rufus, himself, became infamous for his violent exploits and adrenaline-fueled stunts. He was eventually captured by the Swedish authorities, but never one to be chained down, he escaped.

| After his escape he made his way to throughout all of the heavily militarized zones in the Middle East. He worked as a soldier for hire for whichever company paid him more. Whichever side paid more. He would often would switch sides if the price was right. He even would double cross and get paid double the money. He eventually started working for the Russians, under the control of a new dictator, to help over throw their government. The Allied Nations paid him more to stop the coup and keep the man in power. He single-handedly ended what would have been World War 3 by betraying the Russian general stationed in the area.

| Before the quarantine of Malton occurred, Rufus was dispatched to a country which almost all of the people on the planet know nothing about because it existed for all of three days. He was sent their to stop a local militia from performing a coup and overthrowing the government in power. What seemed like a local militia to outsiders was something entirely different to the locals. No one would enter the city. The police manned the exits to the city and wouldn't let anyone in or out. Rufus had no problem blowing right on by them. They didn't even follow him.

| Well when he go into the city he saw that there was something wrong with those standing on the street. They seemed ravenous. They would attack any who were on the street. Rufus saw it long before he hit the center of the city. It was lost. There was something far worse than a coup happening here. The only thing he could do was call in the air strike to level the city and kill all those who inhabited it. He hoped that was the way to go about stopping the disease.

| With his knowledge of the disease, Rufus was asked to enter the quarantined zone to help out the forces stationed inside of the city. When they dropped him into the zone they only gave him a revolver and an extra clip of ammo. When he found out that almost all of the soldiers had been killed a long time ago, and those that have survived are working with the local militias. He decided to work with the local militias in an attempt to learn everything he could about surviving in Malton.

| He now seems to wander around the city looking for something to do. He hunts for the people who have wronged him and protects other survivors by watching their backs at night. He doesn't handle being attacked so well, so it's best not to cross him. He lives for danger and loves the thrill of adrenaline.
