Red Mage.gif Roleplaying Notice
Notice: This User or Group enjoys the RPG aspect of MMORPGs, the category of games that Urban Dead falls into. As such, there is probably quite a bit of roleplaying and/or creative writing on this page and in said User/Group's in-game actions. In other words, if you think the difference between IC and OOC is "One has an 'I' and the other has two 'O's," buzz off.

Go here for pictures of my characters.

Future Ideas

Just some thoughts I was having about some new charries lives before Malton.

First Idea

My first is a fantasy nerd guy, someone who has been around swords and loves studying the medieval period. I predict he's going to die trying to get a sword, but I suppose that's overthinking. Basically a twist of an aspect of my personality, this guy was a regular an his local amtgard, and likes bragging about his 'fencing' skills. If he does get a sword I think it'll be funny when he realizes how heavy a combat-ready one is. Again, overthinking. Generally a secluse in school, he and a couple of friends who share his medieval eccentricities are about the only people he talks to. Probably beat up, if this school is known for its bullies.

Elaboration

Geeky, Nerdy, Medieval fanatic/ Amtgardian. Loves armor, renaissance fairs, knight movies. "Fence Me" He owns replicas of swords, and reads and watches fantasy. meek appearance, blonde hair is shaggy and short with a hint of natural brown highlights. Has regular squarish glasses, brown in color, wood-like gloss. Wears simple one-color clothing, nothing fancy. Not much of a gaming oir computer nerd, just a fantasy geek. Has an older brother. Parents try, but are usually too busy. Always felt second best, lots of hand-me-downs. Name like dedrik.

Final Profile

Name: Derek Atul

Gender: Male

Grade: Any

School: As determined.

Hobbies and Interests: Fantasy as a lifestyle. Derek loves the medieval ages and everything about that valiant time of swords and mystery. His favorite thing about the medieval ages were massive battles, and loves war games that allow for that type of mass strategy. He likes to play live-action games and any other role-playing game about the era he can find. Specifically through a type of fake fencing called Amtgard, Derek puts himself into the character he wants to be, the barbarian Erk, a monster of a man who can take care of himself, something the real Derek could never do.

Appearance: Derek's dirty blond hair is short and shaggy, barely brimming the top of his large wood-colored glasses. The squarish frames are propped up by his biggish ears, bending down on his nose in a peculiar angle. His muddy brown eyes are sunken into his face a bit, but the lenses warp the appearance largely to make him look almost owl-like most of the time. Derek's frail chin cuts off sharply to his long but thin neck and emphasizes his round skull, the mangled hair looking more like string when viewed from a whole. His nose is small, meek, but oddly crooked upward right near the tip in an animalistic fashion.

Derek was never built never sturdily, his small height of 5'2 a mere shadow of many of those around him. His arms seem way too long for his build, stretching down to his knees in a weird almost freakish fashion. Derek generally walks with his head down and long neck bent, making himself look smaller and always disappearing into crowds like a mouse. His normal pale skin tone is equally unassumingly normal, mixed with his shy behavior to leave him abnormally forgotten by those in his class he hasn't personally befriended.

Derek always wears tunic-like shirts, the simple on color fabric sewn a size too large with wide black thread, up one side and then a sight break in the middle, the threading half-stitched and loose, the whole shirt at home at any of his beloved renaissance fairs. He typically just wears jeans and sandals underneath, preferring to ignore the reactions to his odd style of dress than change it.

Biography: Derek was raised by both his parents, even though they both worked full-time jobs in alternate shifts. His father Marcus Atul was an accountant and his mother Rachel a nurse, so their long hours away from home left Derek feeling utterly lonely. His bigger brother towered over him all his life, James at 6'4 and 8 years older already having a long list of accomplishments that always left Derek never feeling quite competent enough. Star Running Back, Class President, even came close to getting Valedictorian, and finally graduating a year early much to the dismay of the team, James was just getting out of law school someplace on the other side of the country with more excellency left in his wake. Derek could never escape feeling second-best.

Naturally Derek became highly seclusive, spending many hours in his brother's old tree house just to escape the world. He loved to imagine that this was his castle, his kingdom stretching far where he could sit out the most determined enemy for months without the slightest of fears. This was his resting place, his sanctuary, his miasma, his home. Countless medieval wars raged in his mind in this tiny wooden box, but this was where he was set free.

His constant love of this times began to represent itself slowly at first, the books of the Medieval Age filling his shelves one by one and his discovery of new and delightful facts from his 'real home.' Derek gobbled up everything he could about the times he loved, every bit of medieval lore and magical luster he could hold on to. The world was simpler; better. Even though actually there were no wizards whose frail size was made up for their intelligence and willful might, the very love of the thought filled his mind. In a world like that, even Derek could be somebody.

His whole social life has revolved around the medieval period ever since his was a kid hiding in the tree house. Other people from school know Derek as 'the dork into swords' or other such barely revealing mantras. His few friends usually can only talk to him about overlapping interests, or things from the medieval world that barely break out into other fields like video games, anime, and rpg's. His one-sided nature is just too strong, the one thing that is truly his in his family the only thing he can ever focus on. His obsession is his life.

Advantages: His war games let him think of a situation based purely on strengths and weaknesses, which is sure to give him an advantage when handling other people. Also he has fenced before with a much lighter weapon, so if he can get a hold of sword he might be able to do some damage once he gets over the initial shock of its weight.

Disadvantages: He's still a little surprised by the real world, not experiencing it enough when he was wrapped up in his little games. Not to mention his own personal ostrasization, Derek's still a little clueless.

First Idea

She's popular, but more of a seductress. The slutty type. I'm sure these have been around before to varying levels of dislike, but I think it would be neat to play someone who used her body to get ahead in high school to come out here where its less of an asset. Basically I could see her becoming a little panicky as the death count grows.

Elaboration

Slutty/Seductress. Popular and snobby, but for unexpected reasons. Mom's a working girl, never knew her fatehr, and tried to be raised well in a tough home. Pretty by nature, she made her own popularity by earning it. Working as for away from teh school as she can as a coffee house girl. She hides her true life from teh school behind designer jeans and make-up, using the football team's 'generour' opinion of her also throw herself into the popular group. Deep down she despises herself, but when around her classmates she doesn't let her arrogance falter, as thought the smallest crack would crash the masked life upon itself. Pretty, long 'golden' hair, doesn't look dyed. Looks italian in decent, probably has great grandparents from italy. Name like Charlotte O'Neil.

Final Profile

Name: Charlotte Neilson

Gender: Female

Age: Depends on Grade

Grade: Probably only works between 10-12 grade.

School: Will be decided.

Hobbies and Interests: Cheerleading, and a strange love for history/social studies. She doesn't let anyone know about that little hobby of hers though.

Appearance: She has a very pale olive skin tone, just pale enough to compliment her realistic looking blonde-dyed hair. Her chin is pointed, proud, yet somehow dainty. She has shining green eyes, full lips, and sparkling teeth. She has a great figure, well-rounded and is the common subject to many a boy's drool. She typically wears short skirts, designer tee-shirts and accessories, further toying with the minds of the boys around her.

Biography: Charlotte's mom got pregnant on the streets as a young woman. Her dad was unknown, never met, just another face, another dollar for her mom. Needless to say her childhood was hard, her mom gone more than half the time.

Her mom tried her hardest to give Charlotte even a shadow of a better life than she herself had had, but you can't buy a house with a smile.

Though without some things, Charlotte didn't have the worst childhood ever, even though they had to move constantly and the phone seemed to call nonstop on days when the credit companies demanded what cents they could wring out of her mom. But the life her mom lived was always kept seperate from Charlotte. She never had to see a stranger's lustful face or see the sorrow burrowed deep within her own mom's eyes as she went to 'work.'

As Charlotte got older, she realized she was blessed with her mother's beauty. Maybe, even after growing up a nobody, she could still become a somebody.

Charlotte works in a diner on the farside of town, waiting tables just to be able to continue her facade of perfection that has helped bring her so much popularity. She knows the value of hard work, the value of her body to the 'popular' boys, what it takes to make it on top.

She's earned her spotlight.

Advantages: Charlotte was never dumb, always kept herself protected whenever she tried to climb the popularity ladder. Her brains, and wat allies she's managed to grab at high school, are her biggest allies.

Disadvantages: Charlotte gets a little panicky in situations she has no control over. Also, every person she had to climb over, insult, or trash to get to the top means she has a fairly large list of enemies.

Story Ideas: If you wanted to interact with Charlotte better you could either be one of those enemies or allies as said above, or you could one of the few people who know her secret, her broke trailer park life at home that would ruin the setup she's spent so much time to get.

First Idea

Crafty and smart. That's the main concept for this one. This guy was prone to little bouts of paranoi in high school, things like zombies and super forts. A part of him knows these ideas were mostly to make him stand out, to be different, but perhaps the show begins to pull the real inspirations out of his subconcious, driving him a little more crazy. His bag was overstocked with (mostly useless and fake) survival things, an attempt to further accent how he wants the other high schoolers to see him. He transfered from a different school shortly before v4 starts, so is using the craziness to find his own niche in the social network. Basically island life might make him live out these ideas, constructing elaborate traps that seldom actually work and slowly losing his marbles. Probably tried to hang out with goths kids when he could, but wasn't as into black.

Elaboration

Smart, Crazy, Unique. Likes creeping everyone else out and telling his weird stories. Eccentric. He moved from another school, where being himself meant being a geek, beat upon bya particularly vicious nobody who just hated life and wanted to make it miserable for someone else. After moving, he decided to start over by decidng what image to cast himself. And nobody messes with a crazy guy. His eccentricities soon became his calling card, each new whacked-out theory and crazy idea just another story to weird out hte his classmates. He's the first-bourn in his family, but was only two when the triplets were born. They've all constantly annoyed, copied, and followed him until the move, when his new crazy attitude finally gave him his own identity. Hasn't really met any friends, just a forgotten freak, he feels each eccentricity becoming more real, losing the real self inside. "Mark Ellais?"

Final Profile

Name: Marcus Ellaine

Gender: Male

Grade: Any

School: To be decided.

Hobbies and Interests: Research. Marcus will just spend hours on the internet, looking up cool, odd, and strange things just for the fun of knowing them. He's a big dreamer, tries to write books constantly but never gets past the first couple of pages.

His plan involves building a super-shelter that will aide him in case of nuclear holocaust/zombie attack. He can't remember if it was really his idea or just a story to give himself another strange look.

He was in drama in his old hometown his whole childhood, so acting was always a big passion.

Appearance: Marcus is fairly attractive for a guy, probably could have been somebody if he hadn't thrown his own social life away. He let his hair grow out wildly, covering his face in funny parts and letting other parts spike up, some naturally and some crusted with gel. The overall effect is mad, looking a little less than half-planned. He'll typically wear faint eyeshadow, so you can't tell if it's makeup or if his sunken eyes are casting a light shadow. He wears a lot of black, but always has an old tan-brown leather trenchcoat on, pockets filled with assorted junk 'just in case.'

Biography: Marcus was the first-bourn of his family. An adjusted middle class family, his whole childhood should have been described as 'relaxed.' But not long after his third birthday, the triplets were born.

The three, two girls and a boy, copied everything he did when he was younger like glue. His parents thought it was just cute, that he shouldn't be mad about other people respecting him, but that made him resent his family even more.

Marcus got into acting at a young age, and when he realized the triplets couldn't copy him. All three had some kind of terrible stage fright, could even talk loudly in front of relatives they hadn't seen in a little while, but not Marcus. This was his task, his thing.

Unfortunately, being on stage in each little costume, also made him a target for the school's bully. A big old guy, the kid ignored his own problems by choosing Marcus as his personal stress releaser. For years the kid let Marcus have it, but Marcus never responded. He figured he deserved it for trying to be himself, be different.

When his dad finally got a new job a county over, Marcus started thinking nice and hard. Sure, here his life was bad. But somewhere else, Hell, maybe he could be someone else.

At his new school Marcus immediately began working on his new image, ensuring his reputation as 'the crazy kid with all tohse weird ideas and thoughts and stuff.' You don't mess with crazy.

Thus Marcus saved himself, restarted his life, by going insane.

Advantages: He has an amazing ability to work outside the box. The last few months he's sent himself into a mental frenzy, trying to be who he wants to be to the school. It's left him warped, capable of the unexpected

Disadvantages: He has no friends, no allies, and those who do know him thinks he's nuts. This has caused his to go a little nuts himself, so not everything he thinks is as coherent as when he first moved.

Story Ideas: Basically the only way to have interacted with him is to sit next to him in class or witnessed his eccentricities.

First Idea

Shadow is how I'd describe this one. Probably female, but male's an alternative too. This character lives in the shadows of the popular characters. She is really smiley and bright, and loves to be near those kids that 'rule the school.' She tails the other kids, but was never really 'cool' enough to fit in. Teachers generally like her attitude, much to her dismay. She probably used to have a either 'geeky' girl or 'creepy goth' girl as a best friend who she dropped in her mad seek for popularity. Maybe a little overweight, with a low self-esteem, she just wants to fit into a world that won't let her. On the island she'll probably do anything to help those cool kids, in a hope just to be noticed before she dies.

Elaboration

Chubby, unhappy, with a low self-estemem. Treats everyone else except for extreme geeks friendly and happy, especially the popular kids. She lives to serve them, a serf to their needs, hoping to soak up thier glory and become popular herself. She's unfit with herself and strives to become other people. People love the bubbly abd nice personality she exhibitsbut all too often she only gets used by the cool kids. Her parents are retired and well-ff, her two older sisters long since out of the nest themselves. Her whole family tries to help her overcome herself,m but all too often their advice falls on deaf ears. She has soft, light-brown and curly hair from the tiop of her pretty face and pinkish complection. She lost her best friend in her rush to fame, and doesn't really have any real friends now. Abagail Rose.

Final Profile

Name: Abagail "Ab" Ross

Gender: Female

Grade: Any except senior.

School: We'll figure it out.

Hobbies and Interests: She used to be into stamps until she heard it wasn't cool. She's constantly trying crazy things to lose weight she hears from the popular group, most of which are cruel pranks.

Appearance: Ab is kinda portly, never been very skinny. Her face, though, is still very pretty, but kinda child-like. SHe has a little button nose and big eyes, her curly light brown hair falls like a frame around her face. SHe wears a lot of pink and clothing that tries to hide her real size, most of it really expensive. She has a pinkish complection, though, which lead her to be called The Pig Girl in grade school and junior high. Now they only do it behind her back.

Biography: Ab's parents had her on accidently, only a few years before both of them retired. Her mother was a successful CEO to someplace, away a lot, while her father just owned his own antique shop. Her mother's retirement alone covered them both to live lavishly for the rest of their lives.

When Ab was born her father mainly raised her himself, and even when her mother was home she had to fight for her attention. Her mother was everything Ab wanted to be, skinny, pretty, successful. Everything except attentive. Ab knew she had to grow up to be just like her mom, powerful. Unfortunately fate was against her.

As high school dawned one of the somewhat popular girls had Ab do an assignment for her. THe next day the same girl gave Ab a quick hi, but the little wave meant so much more for Ab. She found she could go places, if she worked for it.

For the rest of her schooling she chased after the popular kids, thusly becoming a slave to them and to her own self image. Her old friends were left behind for this new idealised world.

Advantages: Compassionate and nice to a lot of people. Probably has a lot of people on her side.

Disadvantages: Ditched a lot of her old friends for the popular kids, and cares more about her own image than her life.

Story Ideas: As stated, either a slave owner, a former friend, or maybe someone who saw a glimmer of kindness in her before she reverted back to her popular-craving self
