Meetcham Drive Fire Station
Rhodenbank [82,2]
Basic Info:
|
Meetcham Drive Fire Station, a fire-damaged metal-and-glass building surrounded by burnt-out cars.
Description
Meetcham Drive Fire Station is a fire station located in the suburb of Rhodenbank. The fire station is situated in a somewhat peaceful area in eastern Rhodenbank. It is the headquarters of the local branch of the Malton Fire Department. The building is normally used by survivors who have the Free Running skill in order to enter police stations. It is situated less than four blocks away from all three police stations, meaning it is at a central movement hub within the suburb. It is also commonly less targeted than the buildings surrounding it so survivors also use it as a staging point to launch attacks against any zombies assaulting the nearby police stations.
History
Barricade Policy
This building follows the barricade policy set forth in the Rhodenbank Barricading Plan. Created by the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps, the policy dictates that almost every tactical resource point in Rhodenbank should only be Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded and no higher, so as to be accessible to inexperienced survivors who do not have the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade past Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege by zombies. Note that members of the RCDC have the right to lower the barricades to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.
Current Events
March 1st, 2009 - Meetcham Drive Fire Station is powered up and EHB. Also, after much redecoreting, it is currently hosting a jazz club, called Left 4 Dead Blues. Unfortunally, the owner Ross Tanneris currently unable to book a live(haha) band gig, so the records of smooth and classic jazz are played insted.
September 7th, 2006 - The zombies known as Slopface, Nyark, and Grosh singlehandedly crippled Meetcham Drive Fire Station. They did this by pretending to be mild-mannered Zehovah's Witnesses before leaping on the building's defenders. This was yet another building to fall to the dreaded Minions of the Apocalypse.
