You are inside a classroom of Pridmore Way School, a high school. Every wall has shelves built to the ceiling, every surface a book on it. Both make narrow walking corridors of the classroom floor space. Lamps hung from the ceiling make buzzing noises as they sectionally light the room. Also here is Ross (55HP).

Somebody has written the library has no organizational structure onto the door, to borrow or lend is theft or generosity onto a shelf, and answers are administered to questions irregularly onto the floor. Many are signed as the management, some crossed-out, others not.

You start from the beginning, which seems sensible to you. The explanation goes as a heavily abridged version to you, and the full version to Ross. You have no need to know what you already know. You speak in long sentences with brief pauses. Ross nods periodically, as if saying, "Yes, that's alright, keep going." Maybe he thought some parts were not meaningful, or not interesting, or not necessary to respond to.

You omit the house you came across soon after you washed ashore. You cannot make any sense of it in your mind, the memories changing order too quickly. You say only that you stayed in a house, finding cobwebs, dust, and plastic wrap over the windows.

When you were out on the streets or within buildings, no dead were present on a usual basis. You expected them to be out and about constantly; instead you felt a blissful loneliness. You ask Ross about this.

You explain the events at Crew Avenue Police Department, meeting Totes, radioing for help, attracting the dead—and then Volker finding you, and being lead a safe way out. You explain that Volker killed Totes, that an organism which had been inside him transferred to her. Ross finds this fascinating. You are depressed by it; you preferred to have her along; you would have introduced this person you found to the group.

You hear what Ross has to say.

Since your last turn:
Ross says "How much of this would you call luck? How much, on purpose?" (2 minutes ago)
Ross says "If there was randomness, you got the good parts." (2 minutes ago)
The lights flicker. Someone on 28.63MHz begins talking. Ross turns down his radio. (1 minute ago)
Ross says "The rest are around. We're waiting. No need to say 'hi' right now." (1 minute ago)
Ross says "They won't know you're here yet." (1 minute ago)
Ross says "We sent Volker and Sam to you, after you radioed. This may sound backwards, but it's fortunate that Volker was the one who found you, alone." (52 seconds ago)
Ross says "If both of them were there—and they both should have been—Sam could've been dead too. Or they may have never found you, coming back here empty handed, and Volker could've killed us while we slept." (41 seconds ago)
Ross says "Totes helped us out greatly, to her loss." (25 seconds ago)
28.63 MHz *static* (18 seconds ago)
Ross says "Well, I should fill you in. You have questions; I have questions... the latter will wait." (19 seconds ago)
Ross says "Sam has not come back from being sent to find you. Previously we were worrying about Volker as well, but that won't be a problem anymore." (10 seconds)
Ross says "Doug is sick or infected, or maybe he will turn. There's a medical research facility near here—Latrobe. We're going there." (1 second ago)
Possible actions:
"Oh, I was heading there too."
