Suggestion description
Okay... i STILL don't know how to use the templates right ( for some reason, this suggestion went to the bottom of the page.. WTF??!!), but i have found a MAJOR flaw in the game: The random numbers generator.

Scenario: I freerun into a next door PD (since the building i was in was under attack). I used my 49 remaining AP to search for ammo, and found nothing. The next day, i spent all 50 of my AP to search for ammo, and all i got was a flak jacket (useless to low lvl players), which i discarded. The NEXT day, i used all 50 searches and finally found a flare gun and 2 pistol clips, which added to my 3 i already had. The NEXT day (which was today in fact), i stepped outside, shot ALL my ammo (30 pistol Shots and 1 Flare gun shot) at a single zombie, and missed EVERY SINGLE TIME. I then retreated back to the PD to look for more ammo, and guess what? I found another Flak Jacket. >=-( I know this sounds more liek a complaint than a suggestion, but hear me out please.

I think that if you miss / search and find nothing a set number of times (say 7, maybe 10) that the next time you try you are guarenteed to find / hit the target. Thsi works for zombies too. I think this is not too unbalanced (the only way this can REALLY be abused is if some dope fills his inv. full of flare guns and shoots them all at one target at once), and would prevent MANY newbies from quitting the game in frustration. This is probably going to be spammed by whiners saying "ACK!! NONONO 100%!!! THAT'S NOT FAIR!!! WAAAHHH!!!" , but hey, maybe people will get smart. If you don't belive me on this, start a new character (a private or a cop, since they use ammo) and go to a PD and search for ammo.

In conclusion, i don't think searching 149 times and only finding 2 Pistol Clips, 2 Flak jackets and a flare gun is very realistic or fun. neither is shooting at a zombie 31 times at point-blank range and missing every single time.....

  1. Keep - I think this will not be unbalancing (as it works for both sides), and it could help out newbies that don't have shopping and Bargain Hunting. no sig

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam I helped did all the work needed on your template, but the idea sucks. First, a flak jacket is equally useful to anybody, and weighs almost nothing. NEVER throw one away, unless you already have one. Second, it sounds like you had another character nearby and tripped the "zerg flag". Trying to use two characters nearby each-other ruins your chances on any random "roll"; this is done in order to stop people from teaming up with their own guys. ... 22:38, 22 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - We all know the RNG isn't so RNG. I found six full loaded shotguns in a row, inside a mall, without the mall skills.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:48, 22 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam - Oh yeah, let's help zergers, why didn't I think of that?-- Che -T GC X 22:54, 22 June 2007 (BST)
Re: I don't think i tripped the zerg flag (since one guy is in Brooke Hills, the other is in Darvall Heights, the 3rd is in Yagoton), and i Do admit i need to change this a little, so as to not help zergers so much (they ruin everything!! >=-( ), so expect a vz. 2.0 soon! --Bruce Torbaron 23:17, 22 June 2007 (BST)
  4. Spam -- I have yet to notice ANY of your suggestions on Talk:Suggestions before they end up in voting. If this one had ended up there, I would have told you that the best way to fix a problem with an RNG is to change the RNG, not to enact guaranteed hit rates. I think you're trying too hard to make the game over in your image. -- Firemanrik 01:05, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  5. Spam - No. Just because you have a stroke of bad luck does not mean that you should go around nerfing the RNG. --User:Axe27/Sig 01:09, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  6. Can Ham- This is your 3rd suggestion here right? Bring your new ones to the talk area first. It'll help you work out the bugs and give ya a chance to have a suggestion get keep votes. Plus the fact that it should be hard to find some stuff like clips since they are valuable.--Dragon fang 03:05, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  7. Super Duper Spam - First off don't insult the voters cause your idea has flaws even you can see, guaranteeing a success is a complete nerf to the purpose of the RNG which is forcing strategic use of large amounts of AP spent over a prolonged amount of time(at least that's how I see it.) , this is no where near as useful to zombies, and some days you are lucky, some days you aren't, it's why the RNG is called the Random Number Generator, it's random.--karek 09:02, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  8. Spam - as Firemanrik --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 09:11, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  9. Spam Occasional periods of truly appaling luck is actualy more realistic, if you think about it.--Seventythree 11:35, 23 June 2007 (BST)
  10. Spam I don't think your ideas are very good, so please use the Talk:Suggestions page from now on. --Magentaine 16:57, 23 June 2007 (BST)
