Pashenton is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast section of the city. The suburb contains several locations of interest including many cinemas, the Travka Vodka Distillery (76,19), the Quinton Monument (74,15), Goverd Park (78,17), the The Carew Museum (74,13) and the infamous Club Riste (71,19). Pashenton is used by many nearby survivors as a source of NecroTech equipment, especially survivors from nearby Rolt Heights, where there are no NecroTech buildings. Zombie density here tends to be somewhat low.

Pashenton - Malton's Movie Mecca!

Pashenton began as a relatively small settlement on the outskirts of Malton proper, notable for small vegetable farms and quaint atmosphere. With only one road into central Malton at the time, the suburb managed to stay relatively undeveloped until well into the 19th century, and was renowned for farmer's markets and parks. This would change, however, with the advent of the industrial revolution.

In the late 19th century Malton Rail introduced special workman's trains and fares on its newly opened branch lines. Pashenton's low-lying fields and market gardens were then rapidly transformed into cheap housing for the lower-middle and working classes, who were able to commute cheaply to inner Malton. This fare policy stimulated the relatively early development of the area into an important Malton suburb, and the pastoral atmosphere slowly began to fade away as more and more land was filled by residential developments and commercial buildings.

The affordability of housing and the abundance of trees began to draw middle class workers from the nearby industrial neighborhoods such as Rolt Heights, and the lower classes who had given Pashenton its first influx of population began to move out when their commute became too long for their liking. The suburb gradually took on a middle class character, and an abundance of nickelodeon movie theaters, hotels, and other entertainment and tourist buildings began to be built in the suburb.

Today Pashenton is famous for the Summer Film Festival, where citizens from around the country flock to our many cinemas and movie theaters and enjoy film awards and a variety of domestic and foreign cinema. Weekend tour packages can be purchased for a reasonable price at the Pashenton Chamber of Commerce at Obern Plaza. Come and see our Pashenton pride!

The above was taken from a pre-incident pamphlet published by the Pashenton Chamber of Commerce.

Things to do while in Pashenton

  • Watch a play! - The The Mist Library is famous for putting on the very first Drama Club performance of Army of Darkness. It's a great place to watch some stage entertainment, and the selection of children's books and technical manuals is one of the best in Malton. You'll definitely find something to do at the library, but don't forget to bring your library card!
  • See a tapestry! - The Carew Museum is one of Malton's finest Tapestry Museums, with exhibits of Egyptian, East Asian, and Peruvian tapestries on display. The carefully maintained museum boasts almost 750 pieces of ancient and contemporary tapestry, a "Hall of Quilts", and the Sevigny Mural, painted by inmates of the Malton Asylum. What more could you ask for?
  • Tour a crypt! - Sure, you spend every day fighting off hordes of the undead. But back in the day, crypts were cool, and only St. Luke's has one you can tour!

Barricade Policy

The initial barricade plan of Pashenton can be found here, and is current as of 9 December 2007. Please implement it and, if you have Aps and spray cans, tag buildings with barricade levels inside and directions to nearest entry point outside.
