Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator. Hospitals are listed as Tactical Resource Points. Hospitals can be barricaded normally. Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals: "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire" "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape." "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals." "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards." "...its emergency room in disarray." "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters." "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. " "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes." "It was one of the last to be evacuated, and seems to have been cleared out in a hurry." "...a derelict hospital that was closed down years ago."

Description

This hospital is located in the suburb of Earletown, which is located in the northeast part of Malton.

History

Clare General Hospital was a rather prestigous hospital in Earletown before the outbreak. It had a stream of people suffering from work-related stress due to the local office building, drunks overdrinking at the Acourt Arms, and wounded firemen from Stoy Avenue Fire Station.

The hospital was deserted shortly after outbreak, due to an unfortunate course of events, when the entire staff was infected and turned to zombies during one bloody night. Later, it was visited by many passing scavengers in pursuit of first-aid kits or brains.

For some time now, the hospital is in care of a local pro-survival group, Zombra's Pub, who try hard to keep it running and staffed, so that a survivor in need can find shelter there. Also, in times of trouble, members of Hyper-Umbrella Corporation can be seen assisting members of Zombra's Pub in fending of horde's.

Current Status

November 2nd, 2010 The building has seen its share of trick'n'treaters during the Halloween, who were banging at its barricades incessantly. Survivors managed to keep them out, however, with little to no losses of stale candy stockpiles. --Tybalt Peroni 12:25, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

November 6th, 2009 - The MOB, fresh from the destruction of the nearby Etheldreda General Hospital, continue to lay waste to the center of Earletown. The hospital itself was attacked and ruined by a dozen zombies. -- Kittithaj 20:51, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
