Intro
I'm an Urban Dead player who first joined the game on August 15th, 2009. Since then, I've made a point of trying to enjoy as many aspects of the game and its community as possible. Towards that end, I've written userscripts, have led or helped to lead some of the top groups during my time, and have generally engaged in the wiki community quite a bit. This is the first wiki that I've really gotten involved with, so if you see me making stupid mistakes, clue me in, since I'm still learning. Despite that, on March 26, 2010, the community saw fit to make me a sysop, but when my term was up, I asked for a demotion rather than an additional term as sysop, and was restored to the life of a regular user on November 25, 2010.
In terms of the game, I wanted to experience everything it had to offer, so as you can see by the character list, I have characters in some of the premiere groups of Malton. They all lead separate existences, and a few of them actively fight against the efforts of the others, though they've never met or even gotten close to each other (nor will they ever do so). Oh, and since they're all separate characters, please treat them as such. Just because my PKer may have ruined your day today doesn't mean that my survivor won't be coming in afterwards to help you patch things together.
If you need to get in touch with me for some reason, use the talk page. If you decide to stalk me and need to say my name over the phone or in-person, I've included a handy pronunciation guide for my screen name up in the header of this page. Just in case you aren't conversant with those characters, it's pronounced the same as "icon."
Background
I'm a graduate student working on his Masters degree in Computer Science at Texas A&M University. I work with the Internet Research Lab (IRL) doing...stuff. Mostly related to web crawling, but my interests incorporate several other areas as well related to the Internet and networking. I've worked in the space industry with subcontractors for NASA (e.g. Lockheed Martin Space Operations), but am currently employed as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for various undergraduate courses, and have had the privilege of assisting professors in teaching around 3000 students in the time that I've been a TA.
To cut off the obvious questions, no, I will not help you troubleshoot your computer. I use and love my Mac because it lets me get work done without dealing with the crap that Windows users put up with or the hassle that Linux users deal with. You guys are on your own.
I've lived on all three of the major coasts in America, so my exposure to cold temperatures is pretty limited. In fact, the place I'm living at now, College Station, Texas, is the furthest inland (around 150 miles), the highest elevated (about 300 feet), and the coldest place (average lows in Winter are in the 40-50°F range, but do dip into the 20s or even teens sometimes) I've ever lived, strange as that may sound to most people out there.
Otherwise, I guess I could point out the fact that I am a Christian that holds pretty traditional/conservative values in terms of most of the controversial issues. For some reason, this tends to surprise people. Go figure.

Hobbies
Backloggery.com: As most know, I do enjoy video games from a large selection of genres (pretty much everything besides sports games), but am most enamored with games that are classics or are likely to become classics eventually. I particularly enjoy underrated games that got overlooked by the mainstream, but I don't let the popularity of something dissuade me from playing it. If you're curious about the games I have or what I'm playing, check me out at the link.
MyAnimeList.net: In terms of anime, my tastes are a bit simpler: I usually avoid series that span hundreds of episodes, I don't watch hentai, and I usually only watch bigger productions. Check the link if you want more information about what I've seen or what I'm watching now.
Otherwise, I do a bit of coding for fun in my spare time, and have dabbled in several dozen different programming, scripting, markup, and query languages at this point. Check my userscripts for some examples of coding I've done for fun.
Sports: N/A. I told you I was a Computer Science guy. 'nuff said. My last involvement with sports was refereeing soccer for three years while in high school.
Music: I listen to anime and video game soundtracks. That's about it, honestly.
You might see me around the Internet since I do tend to get around. These days, I go by the Aichon handle almost exclusively, but in the past I've used Anubis IV and Orison as handles at various sites and in various services.
