Description & History
Theophan General Hospital, one of two hospitals within Hollomstown, provides medical care and refuge for the suburb's western residents, and occasionally assists in the care of the needy from nearby Wyke Hills.
Founded in 1951, the residents of Hollomstown and the surrounding communities have been heir to a legacy of health and hope through the generosity of one man, George Theophan, a community leader in philanthropy. When his wife, Mary, died in 1938, Theophan decided to establish a lasting memorial - one that would pay a fitting tribute to the woman he loved and the place they both loved and called home: Hollomstown.
This memorial, The Theophan Charitable Trust, financed the building of the Theophan General Hospital. Construction began in the summer of 1949, and the hospital was dedicated on September 16, 1951.
Thanks in part to the continuing generosity of the people of Hollomstown, the hospital was completely refurbished at the turn of the century. Portraits of George and Mary, along with other items relating to the Theophan family and their involvement in the Hollomstown community, can be seen in the Heritage Hallway, a pictorial display of the hospital's history, located on the Garden Level of the newly updated hospital.
Even in the dark times of today, amidst the ruins of the city and the zombie hordes, Theophan General Hospital is proud to serve as a refuge for the people of Hollomstown. Always offering a unique system of healthcare that emphasizes a holistic, patient-centered approach, the hospital will continue to dedicate itself to the practice of healing.
Theophan General Hospital is currently claimed by Malton Spies for the help of new players.
Barricading Policy
Theopan General Hospital abides by the Uniform Barricading Policy. Unless under heavy impending or immediate threat, survivors are to keep the hospital's barricades at Very Strong +2. This is to allow any and all survivors access to needed medical supplies. However, the local Barricade will dictate any need to authorize long-term heavier barricades.

July 31st, 2008 Generator installed, but needs fuelling, so it's useless as a TRP. Linkthewindow 11:01, 31 July 2008 (BST)
July 21st, 2007 - TGH is bouncing back and forth between survivor and Zombie hands. Currently ransacked with four zeds inside, HARD is working on making the hospital and surrounding area safe for survivors. Sushiknight 05:32, 21 July 2007 (BST)
July 12th, 2007 - One month later, and the hospital is still ransacked and devoid of life. The three zombies, apparently, are still around.
June 12th, 2007 - The hospital is ransacked. There are three zombies inside. I left it alone.
May 9th, 2007 - I've been heavily involved over the last month or so in trying to protect the Theophan General Hospital on behalf of the Independent Malton Militia. I found the medical facilty today empty of the living or the undead with the main doors wide open. I restored Theophan's barricades back to EHB...although there are hostile ghouls outside still attempting to gain entry.
Concerted efforts are required on the part of Hollomstown's survivor population in order to establish long lasting dominance of this important resource building. -- Tarkenton 20.45 GMT
April 10th, 2007 - With the mall tour having departed, both humans and zombies have greatly reduced their forces in the area. The fighting around Theophan has been reduced to the occasional skirmish. Even the smallest increase in numbers for either side would guarantee dominance of the hospital. --Morombe 15:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
March 20th, 2007 - More and more buildings around the hospital are now occupied by zombies, and the hospital itself is currently occupied by a sizeable group of undead. Few survivors remain nearby. --Morombe 12:17, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
March 12th, 2007 - The battle continues as more and more zombies have begun to arrive at the hospital. Presumably attached to the nearby Wyke Hills invasion, it is becoming more difficult for survivors to repel the zombies for any substantial length of time. --Morombe 12:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
March 8th, 2007 - With neither side having a full organized attack, it has been a back-and-forth battle for control of the hospital between zombies and survivors over the past few days. At current, the zombies have been pushed back long enough for the survivors to erect heavy barricades, though the undead still hover outside. --Morombe 17:58, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
