Description

Hospital

Cornelius General Hospital is a hospital located in the suburb of Grigg Heights, on, the Eastern border with the suburb of Reganbank. Ever since the initial outbreak the hospital has done its best to help treat the injured and provide safe harbor for the citizens of Malton, but more often then not it has come under siege from the zombie hordes. Many are the times that the hospital has suffered for its attempts to keep its barricades low enough to let inexperienced survivors inside, as zombies have on several occasions breached the hospital's light defenses.

Outside

You are standing outside Cornelius General Hospital, a large white-stone building surrounded by a large paved plaza. The building's doors have been left wide open, and you can see that the interior of the building has been ruined for some time.

Inside

You are inside Cornelius General Hospital. It was one of the last to be evacuated, and seems to have been cleared out in a hurry. The building has been completely ransacked, and has fallen into ruin. Mould and fungus bloom across the crumbling walls, and the building's fittings are buried beneath dust and fallen plaster. The floor is flecked with dried blood. The doors to the street have been left wide open.

Mandate

Because there is no staff at Cornelius General Hospital, survivors are asked to try to always support the following ideals:

  1. To provide medical assistance to anyone and everyone who enters.
  2. To cure the infected.
  3. To keep its doors open to lower level survivors, if possible.

It is also asked that survivors please note whether or not there is a portable generator within the hospital, and whether it has fuel or not. As a working portable generator is required for the Surgery skill it is asked the survivors provide support by replacing either the generator when destroyed or refilling its fuel supply when its exhausted. This in turn will allow the medical staff to provide more efficient aid to the injured.

History

This hospital was once directed by the Famous Dr. Zuess, but after a fatal car crash, the ER staff went slightly mad. People decided not to take emergencies there, and, as such, the building over time got used seldom and the ER workers were subsequently sent to an Asylum. There was so much fuss about putting the workers away and paying off people that knew too much that nearly all medical supplies have been left there.

Barricade Policy

According to Grigg Heights Barricade Plan this hospital is intended to be open to all kind of survivors which means barricades should stay Very Strongly Barricaded. Do not over barricade this building as you may prevent medical attention to survivors without Free Running Skill.
