The Blackhawk Nation Forum

Guajiros

Everyone who joins the Blackhawk Nation starts here.

Players default to Guajiros but can immediately request placement in either the Home Guard or the Marines. This all depends on your desired involvement with the Blackhawk Nation and the Urban Dead community. We would prefer that all of our members be involved with either of these groups, but we realize that some people just don't enjoy metagaming or do not want to get that involved with the game; but they want someone to watch their backs and help with a revive when necessary. If you feel that this describes you, then we would like to invite you to join the Blackhawk Nation and become one of our Guajiros, and hang out in our neck of the woods.

We ask that all Blackhawk Nation members find a radio and tune it to 26.34 MHz, the Blackhawk Nation frequency. This is a good way for all members to keep in touch and up-to-date with the latest news. Cell phones provide in-game access to anyone on your contact list. If you don't like to metagame but want to role-play, we suggest using a cell phone to communicate with. We do ask that you sign up on the forum for three reasons:

  1. To apply for membership into the Blackhawk Nation.
  2. For making revivication requests.
  3. Access to the profiles of all of the Blackhawk Nation's members

If you are accepted into the Blackhawk Nation (And most are!), you will be asked to wear the tag, Blackhawk Nation, in your UD profile. We also ask that you assist fellow Blackhawk Nation members whenever possible and help out in our home area. Add your fellow Blackhawk Nation members to your contact list so you can easily identify them. This will also prevent accidental kills when we are zombified. You are free to wander and will not be ordered to participate in missions. You can however, join in the fun at anytime. You may request a promotion to become a Revolutionary or a Marine at anytime as-well.

The Blackhawk Nation is a pro-survivor group and we do not condone random acts of violence in the Urban Dead community. If you feel that you would like to be a PK'er or GK'er then I strongly urge you to consider joining a different group at this time or simply, to change your ways before applying for membership with the Blackhawk Nation.

Guajiros are Blackhawk Nation members and will be shown the respect of membership by everyone else in the Blackhawk Nation. If you ever experience otherwise, we strongly urge you to report it to us on the forums or send us a PM (private message).

Once you have all the survivor skills and have posted over 50 times in the forum, you will become a Revolutionary Guajiro.

Any Revolutionaries or Rangers that go inactive for a length of time, without proper notification, will result in that member being sent back to the Guajiros, until activity is proven once again. The Revolutionaries units and the Special Forces units require a certain amount of activity both in the forum and in UD itself.

Revolutionaries

Revolutionaries represent the majority of our active members. Revolutionaries are broken up into squads. Revolutionaries spend most of their time doing patrols, maintaining buildings, and reviving the dead in their respective are of operations. Squads will work together often and squads will sometimes perform large scale missions together. You may get moved from one squad to another at anytime, Revolutionaries are very flexible in this way.

Requirements: Before becoming a Revolutionary, you are required to be a Guajiro for one weeks time. You are also required to have posted a minimum of 100 times in the forum. We require you to prove that you are both active in Blackhawk Nation's forums and in Urban Dead itself.

  • Squad - Patrols, secures and maintains the safety of a specific territory. Each platoon is lead by one Lieutenant.
  • Once a player who started his career as a Revolutionary has proven they are active in Urban Dead and Blackhawk Nation they will continue to move up the ranks and become a Freedom Fighter.

Rangers

The Rangers are some of the finest soldiers in Malton today. They are able to launch a raid anywhere in Malton within 48 hours. They are some of the most coordinated players in the game of Urban Dead. Squads are organized into units according to timezones, but will often work across them to accomplish their goals. A Ranger expects to travel around often and to have orders changed regularly without warning.

Rangers are lead by a Captain. Each Captain commands two fireteams. Each fireteam is led by a Lieutenant, who is in charge of up to five Rangers. The goal of the Rangers is to offer Blackhawk Nation members the ability to experience Urban Dead in the most active and challenging way possible.

Requirements: Before applying to become a Ranger, you are required to be in the Homeland Defence for at least one week. You must have posted a minimum of 100 times in the forum. And you will have to pass a mission in order to be initiated into the Rangers.

The Ranger Creed

  • Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.
  • Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move farther, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.
  • Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be. One-hundred-percent and then some.
  • Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
  • Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
  • Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
