The Great Suburb Group Massacre, 2009

Check-Mark-Reviewed.jpg Group Confirmed.
This group was confirmed active. Thank you for your reply.

This may seem like a stupid question, but it's for all groups, regardless of size. Cheers! --Janus talk 17:59, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

We are most certainly still active and having fun being so!--Nhrn 21:31, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!--Lois talk 10MFH 19:05, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

The Alligator has you brainwashed!!!

You all must repent to the true lord! The Crocodile will always forgive any transgression, but you must be willing to give up your past ways and see to a better future. We only killed one of you to help you see the light! The Crocodile works beyond the edge or our mortal minds, so we must be willing to flow freely from life and death to see His true ways! Just look at what you're doing! Killing and being killed over and over, war for war's sake! This is the alligator's will, that we all decend to madness, but you must not let him grab at your mind! Repent and change before the Alligator takes you forever!--Acidical 01:47, 30 July 2009 (PMT)

  • This kind of drivel is the main reason I don't often check the wiki. Please be quiet, you are embarrasing yourself. --MrBanana666 17:17, 13 August 2009 (BST)
    • Embarrasing myself? By having a human conversation, by trying to save you? Explain the embarrasment, sir. I am more than willing to give everything for the True Green Lord, but anything given in an attempt to aid others is justified! How can you blindly sit by and wage war without the slightest of attempts to communicate or understand? Are you that far gone into the Alligator's paws? You must break free and at least be man enough to speak! You think the Alligator is protecting you, but watch his claws dig into your skin! See the truth! --Acidical 00:45, 14 August 2009 (BST)
      • He's right, MrBanana, you are blinded by the evil of the Alligator, the only way to true happiness is to Praise the Crocodile... or possibly to Braarz za Grargargarah, if you happen to be vitally challenged right now. --Cman yall 09:29, 14 August 2009 (BST)

I'm really not interested in getting into a debate with you lot but I will be polite and respond. Acidical, you were not around when this started so I'll let you off, this once, for your ridiculous comments, mainly as there are too many of them for me to bother listing. It is sufficient to say that you are quite insane and are lacking several important facts regarding the matter. As for you Mrrrggggh, I do admire your ability to forget that it was you and your Nicholson and Mrrrrgggh alts, plus The Lynch's Field alts, that started this. I can imagine it must be quite handy to be able to absolve yourself of blame. If anyone is blinded by evil, it is you. I'd say it was pretty evil to enter the home of another group, that was quite happily going about the business of helping out around Houldenbank, and start killing us just because we liked having stuffed alligator decorations.

We will be attacking you, as planned, for a minimum of one year. Nothing you say or do will stop that from happening. Just accept it. --MrBanana666 00:44, 15 August 2009 (BST)

I understand that my group started this. Like I said in my first post, we were trying to make you see the light. The stuffed alligator decorations are evil and we had to stop you from setting them. Attack us if you wish. It is still futile for even after a year our loyalty will remain, but nonetheless the Alligator must be silenced! His growls are poison that we are trying to stop you from drinking, but you deny our help and turn one act of retribution into war at his clawed words. Have you really given away control to his evil?!?

((OOC: OK, non-rp now, I know the Croc Cult is kinda crazy, but crazy and random is who we are and we embrace it. I just couldn't let this continue without having my charry say something here. Just so you know)) --Acidical02:07, 15 August 2009 (BST)

When you are in character, you won’t get much more from me that a “shut up”. However, as you have dropped character, I’m happy to engage you in discussion. I’m sure that out of character you are all nice people and if we were ever to meet in real life we would have a beer and swap UD stories with no bad feeling in the slightest. On the occasions that I have spoken to cult members, when they have not been banging on about the crocodile, I have found them to be reasonably pleasant. Even Lynch and Mrrrggggh. This isn’t personal, its character vs character. If your characters want to worship a crocodile, attack innocent, peaceful groups just because of the way they decorate their house then you are free to do so. There are plenty of PKing groups, it’s the nature of a zombie apocalypse game. However, there are consequences for that kind of action that your characters need to accept. In this case it’s us leaving our home and giving you back what you dished out, just for a longer period in order to prove that we are a well organised, tenacious group that won’t tolerate being attacked. So, as it stands, feel free to preach at us, complain, insult us, kill us and whatever else you like but be aware that it won’t change our course of action, we will likely ignore you and just keep on bashing at the barricade. You have Skarin back, for the moment, but I’m sure we’ll take it off you again soon enough. Then it’s a case of wash, rinse and repeat. It’s a long time until next January. --MrBanana666 14:38, 15 August 2009 (BST)

Eh, no offence, but compared to professional PK'er groups like, say, the Flowers of Disease, who have been trying to get the group to change its' ways for the last two years (From five days ago) the DGB isn't too much to deal with. Especially as we're a Dual Nature group.

Anyway, I didn't come in here to try to change your mind about the persecution and what-not, I just wanted to ask about this radio spamming. Please correct me if I'm wrong and it isn't your group, but someone's been spamming our frequency and impersonating our members, talking about resignations and some mild text-rape, which frankly just doesn't seem cricket. I know it's all part of how ever your trying to wage this war, so anti-Crocodile broadcasts on our station are to be expected, but do you really have to stoop so low as to shout out false resignations and accuse us of pedophillia?

As your group seems to be essentially the same as ours, except with a different building to defend and a bizarre Alligator-obsession rather than a bizarre Crocodile-obsession, I'll understand if you don't think you can stop your members from spamming that particular type of meat, or even if your of the opinion that all's fair in love and war (... and semi-aquatic-reptile-based theological disputes) but it's just something for your consideration.

Thanks for reading. -- Coven 18:46, 21 August 2009 (BST)

The paedophilia thing will be stopping I believe, rules etc --Nhrn 23:23, 21 August 2009 (BST)

War with the crocs

You would appear to be at war with the cult. The Dulston Alliance were told that you guys have, in the war, been killing innocent survivors defending buildings. There was no proof provided, but I'd like to ask why you're fightign with the cult. I've gotten half hinted messages across the game about them killing someone over a stuffed alligator or something. Would you care to share your chain of events?--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:01, 16 October 2009 (BST)

It's been a while, but I'll try to recount what I remember. A few of our members were killed by two cultists, for the reason that we like to put stuffed alligators around the place (purely decorative) We asked the other cultists to reign them in and we were informed that they were either unwilling or unable to do so. We put up with this for some time before deciding to attack Skarin in the hope that this would stop the killings, a truce was declared after a few weeks of attacks, but this was soon ended by them. After this truce ended we said we would continue to attack for one year, and we are following through with what we said. Since the majority of our attacks take place in zombie form innocent survivors dying are an unfortunate by-product. I get the feeling I've forgotten a few things so I'll let someone else fill in the details.--Nhrn 23:04, 16 October 2009 (BST)
Cool, do you have the profiles of the two original offending cult members? Most of the stuff after that is pretty complacent of a group war, but you should really avoid killing innocents, you've quite upset some Dunningwood citizens apparently.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 09:30, 17 October 2009 (BST)
It was the lynch's alts and one of mrrgggh's(or whatever his name is) alts. We've apologised for killing innocents, but hanging around with that many zombies is still a bit of a silly thing to do, at least a few of the dunningwood residents know it's all in the name of the game.--Nhrn 10:37, 17 October 2009 (BST)

Hello Yonnua Koponen.

For the background regarding our fight with the cult, nhrn has pretty much summed it up but I can recommend going to the Dunningwood Warriors forum for more details of the history and current situation. They have a thread there with our name on it and it’s a good place to read up on the matter and chip in if you like. The Warriors are nice chaps and are very welcoming towards new people to their forum. They would also like the situation resolved and would probably be interested in your input.

Anyway, with regard to the death of, what you call, innocents in the area around Skarin Row PD : We save our AP for killing cultists. However, when the cult re-take Skarin or Odiles hospital, if we have the opportunity to ransack it again and there is an innocent inside blocking us from doing so, we would kill them in order to take the building. It doesn’t happen all that often though and revives are easy enough to come by. We don’t PK innocents, in the event that we kill one, it is in zombie form so we can ransack the building. Un affiliated humans can’t really complain about being killed by a zombie, if they feel that way then maybe Urban Dead is not the right game for them. For the most part though our focus is on the cult but our action does bring a lot of ferals into the area and it is these that do most of the innocent killings but then that is the way the game works, predominantly humans vs zombies. It is true to say that if we were not in the area, less people would probably die. However, it should be remembered that it is the cults own fault that we are there. If they hadn’t attacked us we wouldn’t be in Dunningwood. It should also be noted that when the cult destroyed, and for a while occupied, our home, innocents were also killed. Then again, even if we were not fighting each other, innocents would be killed anyway, it can’t really be avoided. You can’t play UD and not die at some point. If anyone has a preference for not dieing then they should probably avoid an area that is clearly under attack. Its just common sense. If anyone feels aggrieved because they died due to us being in Dunningwood they have several options : 1. Blame the cult for bringing us there (maybe even kill a few of them to show their displeasure) 2. Join the fight to remove us (basically, do what is expected in the game and fight the zombies) 3. Leave and find a safer place.

It is a shame that people die more regularly than they would expect, because of the cult bringing us to Dunningwood, but it does have a plus side. If anyone wants some easy XP, they always know where to find a stack of zombies. A lot of the time we are not at full HP, because we are attacked a lot as we stand in the PD, so there is a good chance that someone looking for XP could get a kill bonus from us. If anyone kills us, we don’t mind and certainly wouldn’t hunt them down for revenge like some other zombies would. We just get back up and look for cultists. For those not affiliated with the cult, we are an excellent source of XP.

With regard to upsetting the citizens of Dunningwood : I’m sure the humans don’t like our activities but the zombie citizens love it. Several of the locals can often be seen waving to us and shouting their encouragement. Whichever side you decide to fight for, you are ultimately fighting real people. There are no computer controlled characters, so, really it doesn’t make a difference which side you “upset” as someone will always be out to kill you. The game stats are almost 60/40 in favour of survivors. If it goes too far in one direction the game gets a bit boring. Temporarily switching sides is a good way to keep things interesting. Every human should zed it up a bit once in a while and every zombie should harmanz about for a time.

So, in conclusion, we won’t be stopping our war just because people die. There are factors that will influence our decision to stop, but that isn’t one of them.

With regard to giving you the profile links for the cult members that started it all off : I could do that if you really want me to but is it really necessary or appropriate? The horse has bolted in respect to which individuals are to blame; it has been going on for a while now. Maybe that would have done some good in the early days, if you are a good negotiator, but it wouldn’t do any good now. A lot has happened since the start and it would be better to just leave it to play out between us and the cult. However, if you really want to get involved, you could use the cults talk page to discuss the matter with those that are currently most active. I see that you have already done this and that would be a good way to continue. The cmon yall character you have been talking with is one of the main causes of the problem and I’m sure he will be capable of answering your questions from a cultists perspective. Also, as mentioned at the top, The Dunningwood Warriors have a forum thread dealing with the issue. Defenders, cultists and Warriors are all represented in this thread.

I hope that answers your inquiry and points that you raised. If not, let me know. --MrBanana666 14:37, 18 October 2009 (BST)

Normally, I wouldn't be getting involved in this at all, but someone from Dunningwood complained to the Dulston Alliance, presenting a fourth option that you missed. However, the general idea on the DA forums at the moment was that we'll be keeping out of this. I just felt obligated that since I started asking around, I should finish it up. I'll just roudn things up with the Crocs, but I'm almost certain that the DA leadership will be against joining the conflict.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 14:50, 18 October 2009 (BST)
