Many current members have gone inactive, mostly due to losing interest in the game or real life issues, with the exception of the leader, themanwhocares4.
The group is currently closed to recruiting, as it has shut down until further notice.
History
The Blackhearts are a pro-survivor group started by Fire Marshall Bill in late Winter of 2008. The group's main objective is helping the survivor cause in Malton in any way they can. This includes healing injured survivors...barricading, repairing and powering buildings...reviving, and of course, combat. The Blackhearts main enemy in the fight for control in Malton are zombies, however engaging Player Killing groups is not out of the question as they are as much (or more) of a viable threat to the populace as the undead. After having started several successful groups in the past, including the Malton Civil Defense Unit (MCDU), FMB sought to create a new, relaxed and fun organized pro-survivor group to be based out of the new Urban Dead forums, Lurching Gait.
Group Goals
In each suburb in which they operate, The Blackhearts main goal is the restoring of order. This is accomplished by killing and disposing of the undead menace, cleanup and repair of buildings (especially resource buildings), and the healing and revivication of all human survivors in the area. As a secondary goal, The Blackhearts view the removal of player killers as another service to be provided to the public.
Policies
First and foremost, The Blackhearts support the policy of not being stupid. This means not only assuring you do not make an ass of yourself on a public forum board, but also by not doing things in game that can be construed as stupid or useless. This includes no combat reviving (i.e. using a syringe to revive a career zombie simply because you cannot kill him), sleeping in resource buildings, overbarricading resource buildings or free running lanes, tagging buildings with useless drivel (i.e. My car is TEH ROXXORZ111!), or trying to hold a Mall against a zombie horde. These things tend to never work out in game and only lead to you or those associated with you as being viewed as a noob.
Secondly, The Blackhearts also DO NOT ALLOW ANY ZERGING, ALT ABUSE, SPYING, PLAYER KILLING OR CHEATING OF ANY KIND. We feel most people have done at least a little bit of some of these issues (either intentionally or unintentionally) in the past, and that's water under the bridge. While you're here as a member of our group, you agree to not do these things with your Blackheart character.
Lastly, we encourage our members to ask questions and learn from their elders in game play. It's perfectly fine to be a newbie, everyone was once. Do not be afraid to learn from others and have a good time!
Organization
The Blackhearts utilize a loose chain of command with one person in a leadership role directing others in follower roles. Our missions are carefully planned out for optimum success based upon the parameters of the game of Urban Dead and previous experience in similar situations. Members are asked to use their AP completing tasks that as a whole add up to a successful mission.
Recruitment
The Blackhearts are open to all character classes and levels regardless of past history or affiliation. The caveat being that once becoming a Blackheart, you understand and follow the standard operating procedure and rules.
Allies
The Blackhearts have an official alliance with The Fortress.
The Blackhearts also have an official alliance with the Knights Templar and The Chili Corporation.
Though not formally, The Blackhearts consider themselves an ally of every survivor group striving toward the success of the survivor side in this conflict. If you would like to set up a formal alliance, we are always interested in hearing from delegates of other like minded pro-survivor groups. Please come to the forums and contact a member.
