Richmond Hills is a suburb of Malton, located to the north-west of the city centre. An important manufacturing center in post-war Malton, the blue-collar suburb began a slow and steady decline in the 1970's. With many businesses leaving the suburb, workers followed and the overall local population dropped significantly.

With a predominance of factories, warehouses, offices and junkyards, Richmond Hills is naturally referred to by many as an "industrial wasteland". Empty city blocks, vacant lots and long open stretches of motorway make travel difficult and unsafe for local survivors, and help to lend an air of abandonment to the area.

In an attempt to repeat the success of Bungay Towers in the early 80's, a pre-outbreak urban development project was in the works to reclaim South Eastern portions of the suburb near the public transportation hubs at Bayley Row Railway Station and Cardwell Plaza Railway Station as apartments and low-income housing. Naturally these plans were abruptly halted in the wake of the quarantine.

While the suburb does not have much to offer in terms of overall resources, it does have a small selection of interesting pubs, clubs and museums, as well as a high concentration of cinemas. In particular, film enthusiasts passing through the suburb are encouraged to visit the once grand edifice of The Richmond Hills Humongoplexin the Eastern Central portion of the suburb.

In view of current suburb climate and recent updates, Scanlon Crescent [36,33] has become too difficult to maintain as the suburb RP by DEM members in the area. The RP has been officially moved to Shehan Boulevard [37,36]. Requests made on the DEM Revive Tool receive priority service as staff and supply allow. --Griff 02:39, 2 August 2008 (BST)
