UDWiki:Administration/Policy Discussion/Semi-protection
This suggestion takes only the semi-protection part of the policy. This policy would make use of the wiki's inbuilt "Autoconfirmed" group for the purpose of semi-protection of pages such as user or group pages. Wikipedia assigns it after 4 days and 10 edits; on this wiki it has been indicated that a time period of 1 week and 25 edits would be more appropriate. Semi-protection would be requested via the current A/PT page, the same rules apply and any protections made by Sysops without a request must be listed on the page for future posterity.
Semi-protection of a page would not allow users who haven't been autoconfirmed to be able to edit the page. It works the same as Wikipedia and semi-protected pages, except that the autconfirmation time and edit count is slightly higher and there is no move ability.
Note: I changed the 2 months and 200 edits for auto confirmation to 1 week and 25 edits.
