As such, Malls are frequently used as safehouses and fortresses by survivors. Zombies often check inside (when they can get in), and organized zombie groups sometimes lay siege to them. They are listed as a Tactical Resource Point. Characters with the Shopping skill can loot specific stores. Those without will find these items at random: Bookstore: books, poetry books. Drugstore: first aid kits. Gun Store: pistols, pistol clips, shotguns, shotgun shells. Hardware Store: crowbars, fire axes, flare guns, spray cans, knives, portable generators, toolboxes. Liquor Store: beer, wine. Sporting Goods: baseball bats, Binoculars, cricket bats, fencing foils, golf clubs, hockey sticks, pool cues, ski poles, tennis rackets. Tech Store: GPS units, mobile phones, radios, radio transmitters. Malls are large buildings, and are barricaded as such.

Tynte Mall is a four-block shopping mall in the suburb of Pimbank. The RRF has taken to calling Tynte Mall the Anti-Caiger Mall due to its notoriously weak defense. Allegedly, Tynte Mall has the worst Mall Santa in the city.

Mall Entry Points

While all sections of the mall are usually barricaded to Extremely Heavily, two entry points are kept at Very Strong: Bradbury Library [67, 43], and the Retallick Building [67, 46].

• March 28

North-east and south-west corners at VHB. 1 zack outside the NE corner. The Bradbury Library is at QSB with one zack outside. The Nuttall Museum is at VSB and empty. At least one generator is running out of fuel. Infrastructure 12:56, 28 March 2010 (BST)

No zombies outside the mall, NW corner at VHB. The Nuttall Museum is going down, the Bradbury Library is overcaded. Several wounded inside the mall. Generators working. Infrastructure 15:45, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Four zombies outside the north-east corner, which is at QSB. Several wounded inside. The ruins in Peppardville are moving closer. Infrastructure 16:18, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

The area looks pretty decent. A ruined building or two to the north, a few nearby places that need barricading. The mall itself looks alright, with all corners at EHB and with a medium population.
