You are standing atop the roof of Caiger Mall. Some construction has been started for a second floor. Skylights adorn the roof surface in triangular peaks, they look too weak to walk on.
- You walk to the edge of the roof and peer out into the horde. Many dead faces gaze up to stare at the wondrous, breathing you. Decaying tissue twitches and trembles as their mouths contort to form crazed jibber-jabber speech. Being alive makes you so popular among the dead.
Your eyes drift to the lifeless shambles of the city. Skyscrapers sprout up from the mess of abandoned buildings, looming above the smaller structures, like weeds among yellowed, parched grass.
