Background

The Grundy Motel along with its neighbor the Perrye Towers are the tallest in Foulkes Village. Before the zombies overran the city, Grundy was a highly successful due to its proximity to two museums and the Perrye Towers. Deaton Grundy, the motel owner, a white haired, conniving, old man who ran his business with cold ruthlessness. With his shrewd tactics he amassed quite a wealth; putting practically all of it back into the motel to increase the value of the property. It was rumored that he once killed a bell hop in a fit of rage over a broken window, and hid the body in the lower basement. Though no charges were ever filed many believe he was responsible for the bell hops disappearance. Once the zombies started descending on the populous, Deaton barricaded the building and with a few employees and patrons held out for a nightmare ridden week and a half. As the barricades were crumbling and zombies ravaging the motel along with the exhausted survivors, Deaton refusing to let the zombies eat him jumped from the top story to his death.

The Motel is now a shell of its former self. The columns that stand out front once had ornately carved tapestries, are now blackened and pocked with bullet marks. The windows are mostly missing or smashed, part of the building is blackened by fire caused by a last ditch effort to stave off the zombie horde. Now the only patrons that come to inquire of any vacancy are the mindless dead. It’s rumored that once two zombies, one dressed in a bell hops uniform and the other an aged, white haired zombie was seen locked in combat in the lobby. None the less, fact or fiction, if you do try to spend the night here be on your guard not to be caught by its deceased former owner. He does not take lightly to people getting free room and board and if found will try to take payment, however instead of money these days, he charges brainz.

Current News

Recently established as a safe house for civilians-being only accessible through nearby buildings-the barricading policy is to keep the structure at EHB by Blue Team Protocol.
