You are inside the Portman Building, an elongated building with offices. The floor is a slick, broken mess of dried and fresh blood. The door to the building has been secured. Also here is Totes (5HP).
There is a dead body here. It's Volker.
- You fall to your knees at the bodies of Volker and Totes (somewhat favourably aligned toward the later of the two, as you share a greater fondness for her than he). The welling at your eyes is so because you cry. Your limbs shake as you nudge the two bodies (again, more-so inclined toward Totes) but you recoil when you realize the splayed-open back of Volker. The blood came from somewhere.
You know what, you failed them. You fell asleep, on purpose, for the sake of progress. You neglected them for your own personal gains, for the senseless notion of bringing about happening; but something is always happening. This notion must mean that something is without happening, and you made or waited for happening to happen. A senseless notion. And now this happened.
Totes shifts because she isn't dead. Oh. (Grief for Volker diminishes to nothing in light of this).
