The Grundy Motel

Description

The Grundy Motel along with its neighbor the Perrye Towers are the tallest buildings still standing in Foulkes Village. The Motel is now a shell of its former self. The columns that stand out front once had ornately carved tapestries, are now blackened and pocked with bullet marks. The windows are mostly missing or smashed, part of the building is blackened by fire caused by a last ditch effort to stave off the zombie horde.

History

Before the zombies overran the city, Grundy was a highly successful due to its proximity to two museums and neighboring Perrye Towers. Deaton Grundy, the motel owner, a white haired, conniving old man ran his business with cold ruthlessness. Through shrewd tactics he amassed quite a bit of wealth; putting practically all of it back into the motel to increase it's property value. It was rumored that he once killed a bellhop in a fit of rage over a broken window, and then hid the body in the lower basement. Although charges were never brought up, many believe he was responsible for the bellhop's disappearance. Once the zombies started descending on the populous, Deaton barricaded the building up tight along with a few employees and patrons. They held out for a nightmare-ridden week and a half. As the barricades crumbled and zombies began ravaging the motel and attacking the exhausted survivors Mr. Grundy, refusing to let the zombies eat him, jumped from the top story to his death.

Now, the only patrons that come to inquire of any vacancy are the mindless undead. It’s been rumored that two zombies, one dressed in a bellhop uniform and the other a white haired wrinkled wisp were seen locked in combat in the lobby. If you do try to spend the night here be on your guard, and don't get caught by its former owner. Even in undeath, he does not take to people getting free room and board and will try to take payment if he finds you. Instead of money, these days he charges in brainz.

Barricade Policy

The barricading policy by Blue Team Protocol is to keep the structure at EHB for housing of defense forces.
