Re: The 'Sards and Tompson Mall
For what it's worth, I stopped by your corner yesterday and things seemed to be fine -- good barricades, no zombies. In any case, it's generally inadvisable to stay overnight in a mall for any reason. Especially now that zombies get to free run inside the malls. --Natalya Zveda 01:50, 17 Jan 2006 (GMT)
- Someone else barricaded up the sector and stood watch while I was sleeping. The whole point of me staying in the mall is to secure the mall for the rest of the Lockettside population to stop by, not for myself; when you are scav'ing for ammo, you generally wait till you run low and spend 50AP to scav in a mall, which means you are at least vulnerable for one day while in the mall.
- As long the mall is in Survivor hands, survivors in generally have an easier time elsewhere in the suburb. Hence, we need to kill off the Zombie horde outside the SE sector badly -- as long as they are there the Mall is not secured.
- No matter what defense you have in the suburb -- Distributed Defense or UBP or whatever -- the pragmatic fact is that Survivors are largely dependent on Malls for quick and easy ammo/ FAK restock. Any other resource buildings take too long to stock the ammo back up, and that increases the vulnerability of Survivors as a whole in the suburb.
- We just had another Zombie breach the SE corner, I had to again spend all my AP to kill it and throw up a barricade. At the rate things are going, we will get another 2 breaches today. -- Lynx7725 03:30, 17 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Re: PKed
Hi Lynx, I replied to your message on the Talk page for The 'Sards. --Natalya Zveda 02:53, 2 Feb 2006 (GMT)
A few things
- One of your pages Lynx7725\Draft Suggestions is in the main namespace. (The slash in it should also be a forward slash for what it's worth.) Could you please move it?
- Your Profile link, you've got a
|
at the end of the number. - That giant table. Could you please convert it to wikimarkup?
Thanks. –Xoid S•T•FU! 11:44, 16 May 2006 (BST)
- Sure, I'll move the file accordingly. to Lynx7725/Draft Suggestions right?
- Ok, no probs, I'll correct.
- This might take a bit more time. It's not something to take lightly. :D I'll work on it over time.

Lynx7725/Draft Suggestions isn't quite right. This would be correct: User:Lynx7725/Draft Suggestions, and instead of Talk:Lynx7725/Draft Suggestions, User:Lynx7725/Draft Suggestions is the way to go. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 09:02, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- Right, just realised. Shifting again... -- Lynx7725 09:04, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- You should also submit the mistaken pages for Speedy Deletion. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 09:07, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- Err, the talk pages are auto-shifted right? I think I got the pages moved to the right namespace now. As for the Speedys, AFAIK once I move them it should be ok?
- - Update: I think I got it right now and the Speedys, well I tried to add a {{speedydelete}} to one of the redirect pages.. bounced off. Not sure what to do now. Can assist? -- Lynx7725 09:16, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- Don't worry too much about the templates. They're not essential. --Cyberbob240CDF - U! 09:18, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- Uh, ok. Anything else I need to do to clean up on this mess? Aside from the HTML tables, which I would work on over in the future. -- Lynx7725 09:20, 17 May 2006 (BST)
- Can't think of anything. Since following a redirect when you're trying to nuke a page is a pain in the butt, I've been adding the
{{speedydelete}}
anyway, once I figured out that you've got to put it before the "#REDIRECT Karlsbad" sort of bit. And thanks for being so co-operative. (The last user I asked to rename something simply blanked it and created another version in the main namespace. It's like pullin' teef I tells ya.) Well um… toodles. –Xoid S•T•FU! 10:08, 17 May 2006 (BST)
