The Dufty Building
This building has been left abandoned. IneptOne is currently out and about gaining levels and XP in order to be better able to maintain and enforce peace and safety in his own home. Any person or group who occupies or uses the Dufty Building before I return, feel free to use this page.

Significance
The Dufty Building has recently been made into a small Safehouse in Ruddlebank maintained by IneptOne. It is a very low-profile target, being a building that is not a Necrotech Building, yet is within easy reach of all resources if you posess Free Running (A skill that is required to enter the well-maintained barricades) It is right next door to a fire station, two blocks of free running away from a hospital, three away from a necrotech building, four away from a police station, within easy reach of a cemetary, not to mention the short distance to Tompson Mall, making a trip there and back on 50 AP easily accomplished.
IneptOne welcomes guests, so long as they aren't afraid of the dark. Putting up a generator would only attract zombies, and thus if you set one up, it will be dismantled by IneptOne. Anyone with Free Running is welcome to stay, and IneptOne especially appreciates the company of people not afraid to spend an AP or two chatting. Long-term visitors are enjoyed, but are asked to spend at least 2 ap maintaining the barricades per gaming session if they plan on staying for longer than a week. This system will keep the barricades at maximum at all times, should the place catch on as a popular safehouse.
Barricade Policy
EH barricades. IneptOne requests that long-term visitors put 2 AP per session into barricading in order to keep it at maximum security with minimal effort for everyone.
History
No major events have occured here. The building's thus-far obscurity proves a boon for its purpose.
Status Reports
I'm considering closing down the Dufty Building. I have no visitors, there is no severe zombie problems in the area, and whenever someone does stop by, something bad happens. I have just been PKed for no reason in my own home. And he didn't even dump the body outside. If this was a serious situation, the PKed individual could have stood up and wiped out at least two or three other people in the room if they had the zombie skills to do it. If no one is going to respect my safehouse as a safe house, I don't see why I should bother. Final decision once I get revived and can confer with an associate. ~ IneptOne, September 26th, 2006
Base secure. Area quiet. A couple of zombies to the south. No visitors. ~ IneptOne, September 21st, 2006
Base secure. Some modearate zombie groups to the south and west, no one of which is greater than 4 zombies, but totaling more than 10 zombies overall visible. No visitors. ~ IneptOne, September 20th, 2006
Base Secure. No zombie groups noted in the surrounding area. Have decided to stop with the personal commentaries. No visitors currently. ~ IneptOne, September 20th, 2006
Hellstorm came back for a visit. Brought XBox. That is the ONLY reason the gen stays up... Dead Rising... Mexican Deathmobile... Mmmm... -cough- Sirens (high-level woman) still around. Two powerful allies would be great for keeping the place safe, though really, the conversation is a lot better than my last four visitors... Anyhow, the surrounding area seems clear, with one zombie outside and one zombie inside the library. Place hasn't been ransacked, though, so I got away with the latest Brian Greene book on Superstring Theory. Other than that, the barricades remain secure, and the area is quiet, and almost peaceful. for the moment... ~ IneptOne, September 14th, 2006 Note: My internet connection seems to be on the fritz. Just a note.
Double report. High-level woman is very friendly. And she brought SPICY PORK RINDS!!! That alone was worth reporting. The area remains clear. I took a few pot shots at a zombie attacking a man outside the museum to the west. That is the only undead activity within a few blocks. Once again, there are Spicy Pork Rinds at my place. Repeat: there are Spicy Pork Rinds at the Dufty building. That is all. ~ IneptOne, September 12th, 2006
Base secure. One revive performed, my second to last fak used on a man facing down a zombie. Syringe stock replenished to 3, Fak stock replenished to 3. I have another visitor, a high-level woman who seems to be lugging around a stone head... At any rate, things look pretty clear in the surrounding area, and that NT building seems to be pretty well-fortified now. My visitor is a member of the group "Red Rum" or murder spelled backwards. It makes me a little nervous about saying hi... But if she was gonna kill me for no reason, she would have done it already. Right? ~ IneptOne, September 12th, 2006
Base secured. The NT Building to the SE has been recovered by an unknown force at an unknown time in the last few days. It is back under survivor control. In the meantime, it seems the small groups of zombies were just passing through off to the south. The area seems to be very nearly clear again, with only one undead spotted on the streets. Low on first-aid kits. At any rate, people have been passing through here little by little... I suppose the sign that says "IneptOne's Place. Safe to sleep here." makes people feel a bit more welcome. No long-term visitors, yet, just people sleeping the night, or passing through. Perhaps tracking that small group? ~ IneptOne, September 9th, 2006
Base secured. Stocks replenished. Not enough AP to scout and make an educated report. Nothing else to report at this time. That is all. And finally, let me just say in conclusion: I have nothing more to say. ~ IneptOne, September 8th, 2006
Remains secure. One revive accomplished, but out of needles. The Paine building is too far from home to conduct a full restocking right after a revive. Next session, I will restock on syringes and ammo. In the meantime, paranoia seems to be a really good way to go with the current situation. ~ IneptOne, September 6th, 2006
Place is still solid. I've recently taken up first aid to further aid those frequenting my home. The NT building to the SE is overrun beyond my help. The NT to the NE will have to serve for now, though it lacks a generator, and judging from how abandoned it is, it doesn't look like it is very secure. But it will serve for now. The area may come under seige soon, judging from the signs. It seems the Dufty Building may get its first test as a safehouse not too long from now. ~ IneptOne, September 4th, 2006
Once again. Very little to report on the saftey of my home. Barricades remain untouched. One zed at the cemetary is, once again, waking up a real boy. However, no more revs will be happening until next time. The NT building to the South-East has been overrun. The one to the North-East will have to suffice until more capable survivors clear it out. On a related note, I need to restock pistol clips, too. ~ IneptOne, September 2nd, 2006
It must have all been a false alarm. There are only a few very small groups of zombies here and there to the south-east. No Mrh cows in my cemetary. All quiet on the northern, southern, eastern, south-eastern, and western front. Oh, I did help to barricade up that NT building. Someone managed to knock it down to heavily. So I put up a few more for them. There are quite a few people staying there. It probably isn't wise to sleep in a high-profile target, but I used to do it when I was new, so... I'll do my best to help keep them alive. It's only fair. ~ IneptOne, August 31st, 2006
I guess I overreacted. The zombies have been cleared away from that NT building. However, I do still believe that a zombie group may be travelling through the area. A few pairs and packs seem to be located to the south-east. But there are no longer any undead waiting in my cemetary rev point to the north. I would assume that I would reflect over the past few weeks as the "Calm before the storm" should there be more mobs beyond my binocular's view, and I hope that I spent it well. I do regret spending my syringes frivolously, as the south-east is the nearest NT building, but there is another to the north-east, just a little farther, should the place be trashed and ransacked. Anyhow, I have another guest. Should this be an emergency situation, I will have to keep all my guests updated on the goings-on outside, so as to save their AP for killing, fleeing, or reviving, and to help direct them to the nearest service areas. ~ IneptOne, August 30th, 2006
Remains quiet and secure. One zed in my cemetary is gonna wake up a real boy again! No recent visitors. The surrounding area seems mostly quiet, with the notable exception of the Sainders building to the East. Six zombies outside it. It seems to be because of the lone survivor out there. Similarly, a crowd is gathering next to another poor soon-to-be dead punk outside a club to the West. There is one other zombie in the area off to the south. Farther scouting attempts reveal that there are some zombies gathered around the necrotech building, as well as on the same block as it. Is this our next wave of undead? ~ IneptOne, August 29th, 2006
All quiet, and tight as a drum. My recent visitors, Satandisc and Jimmy Hellstrom (nice guy, by the way) seem to have left. Not only that, but the outside seems to be nearly devoid of zombies, with the exception of a few individuals wandering the streets far from my precious home. In short, nothing to report. But it is only a matter of time until the next zombie group wafts through here like the smell of apple pie in August. Mmm... Apple pie... ~ IneptOne, August 25th, 2006
