Oh sh*t! It's on yo!

That's right! Much to our own surprise, it's apparently halloween already in some parts of the world, so it's officially a party at the Malton City Zoo!

This crap again?

Yes! This crap! Again! The Malton Zookeepers are as pleased as punch to be able to host the Second Annual Halloween Hootenanny of Horror at Malton's one and only zoo! Despite the lengthy and heated debates as to just how pleased punch actually is, we assure you, we are VERY pleased indeed. Everyone in Malton is invited, whether human, zombie, animal, robot, or bizarre silicon-based life form from outer space. If you love a good Halloween party, come on down!

Hey! I'm a human/zombie/animal/robot/bizarre silicon-based life form from outer space!

Then hit the nearest mall, find yourself a costume, scrounge up some booze, and make sure you're at the Malton City Zoo in scenic Ketchelbank by October 31st!

Costume?

It wouldn't be much of a Halloween party without a costume contest, now would it? Due to the incredible success of last year's competition, we've decided to expand the rules a bit. This year, there will be two seperate costume winners, one for Best Scavenged Costume and one for Best Descriptive Costume. As you may have already guessed, the Best Scavenged Costume award will be given to the entrant judged to have put together the wackiest, most entertaining costume from clothes he, she or it found laying around Malton. The Best Descriptive Costume award will be given to the entrant who creates the most entertaining, frightening, or imaginative costume in the Survivor or Zombie Appearance field in their profile.

Sounds...fascinating! How do I enter?

Simple! Pick out and assemble your costume, and then find your way to the Reptile House at the Zoo. If you're entering the Best Descriptive Costume contest, make sure your costume is described in both the Survivor Appearance and the Zombie Appearance fields of your profile, in case you're killed or revived against your will. Step inside, announce your entry into the costume contest, and wait to be judged.

That's it! You don't need to hang around...our crack team of Zombie Costume Experts will be logging each entrant for the competition and posting them on our forums for judging. We recommend that entrants keep their costumes on for at least a week following the competition, to ensure that each costume can be judged as it was originally presented.

The winner of each contest will be awarded the right to add the prestigious Winner Badge to their user page!

Well, what am I supposed to do after the contest?

Being the fantastic hosts that we are, the Zookeepers are arranging a full schedule of entertainment that will span the entire Zoo and all its enclosures. Here's the current schedule, which is of course subject to change at our whim:

At The Zoo:

On The Web

And of course, make sure to visit our forum for more details on all the events, and to introduce yourself!

How long is the contest going to be open?

We recognize that Malton is truly an international community, so we're making the contest hours as inclusive and as simple as possible. Just like last year, we'll consider the contest to be open between 00:00 on the 31st and 00:00 on the 1st, GMT. The party, on the other hand, will last until everyone either leaves or drops dead!

Drops dead? I'm not sure I like the sound of that...

Well, presumably there will be a few fatalities from alcohol poisoning or exhaustion, but you do raise a good point, Mysterious Stranger. How can we have an open and inclusive party without a few important rules? We do ask all visitors, regardless of their current living status, to adhere to the strict No Barricades / No Killing / No Reviving rules that are currently in place in our Zombie Enclosures (the Reptile House and the Aquarium). It's not too much to ask that we put aside our differences for one or two nights of hard partying, is it? Yeah...we didn't think so either.

Of course, for those who DO drink too much and end up needing medical attention, our Zoo Veterinary Staff will be on hand to provide first aid and revives at our two designated revive points (St. Pius Church and St. Matthias Church).

Please keep an eye on this page for more details, or join us at www.maltoncityzoo.com for more information!
