Why is this template needed? We already have the delete template (which in my opinion is a much better template). Why does this template exist? --RedKnight 02:23, 13 April 2006 (BST)

I expect that someone is trying to build a new messagebox standard. -- Odd Starter talkModW! 02:24, 13 April 2006 (BST)
Ok, this is the first example I've seen of it so far. I'm just not sure why we would want the deletion template to be so small that you might look over it. Plus I think that the extra text in the other deletion template does a better job of informing people not familiar with the idea what is going on and how to react to it. --RedKnight 02:28, 13 April 2006 (BST)
I build this template as a less intrusive way to add the delete tag in any page. The template:delete is huge, and calls attention for a mile away. Even if we *want* the tag to call attention, i believe we shouldnt take the attention away from the page itself. Webdesign speeching, this works better. --hagnat tw 02:30, 13 April 2006 (BST)
I've been doing some more thinging and I'm not opposed to having the smaller version. However, I would like it to have the same sort of info informing newbies to head over to the moderator/deletion page to voice their opinion. Can the template be changed to add that? --RedKnight 03:18, 17 April 2006 (BST)
Well, there is already a link to the mod/del page in there... what other kind of info do you want the template to shown ? --hagnat tw 03:22, 17 April 2006 (BST)
Something to the effect of the second sentance on the original delete template. (The second sentance is the one that says, "Please visit that page for more details, or to vote regarding the deletion of the pagename page.") --RedKnight 03:28, 17 April 2006 (BST)
