Some are NecroTech Buildings and can be identified by the "[NT]" appended to their name if you have the NecroTech Employment skill. Office buildings are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used. Office buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

The Garard Building is an office building located in the suburb of Rhodenbank.

The office block itself was constructed in the 1980’s by the planning consortium Malton Futures LTD and was designated primarily for the renting of office space to local businesses. While the architect’s original plans included a small indoor plaza, several inspiring modernist statues and a cafe for office workers to relax in budget constraints and the withdrawal of one of the planning companies chief financial backers unfortunately forced a re-design, and the office block constructed resembles a fairly typical, boring white-brick affair with individual open plan offices divided into workstations and cubicles. Office space was rented out to businesses, many of them from the suburb of Rhodenbank. A sign by the entrance indicates that prior to the outbreak office space was being rented by the TREATT candy company, a telesales agency, an animal sanctuary, a government sponsored outreach programme and a small recruitment firm, and at least two floors remained empty.

In accordance with the Rhodenbank Civil Defense Corps barricade plan the location should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. The true purpose of this building is to serve as a heavily fortified shelter for Malton's veteran survivors.

November 3rd, 2009 - Building powered with barricades at EHB ... 2 survivors inside. Been a pretty safe building even during the heavy zombie incursion just a few blocks away. Although the ransacking of the brain museum next with 4 zombies might make this place less safe to spend the night. --OO Willie 12:47, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

March 30th, 2009 - The Cult of Ares claimed The Garard Building as their HQ.

December 6th, 2008 - D.I.T.P.S recon reported that there were no zombies outside this building.
