Yagoton Monuments
From The Urban Dead Wiki
Basic Info:
|
Yagoton has 3 Monuments in two different areas. Each one of these were commissioned by the last mayor of the suburb prior to the outbreak in Malton in the hopes that they would entice tourists to the suburb. These monuments are:
- the Toller Monument at the eastern part of the suburb
- the Sambone Monument at the southwestern part of the suburb
- the Rostron Monument at the southwest corner of the suburb
All three monuments are detailed below.
These monuments are currently unmaintained. A recent phenomenon has been to spray-paint these monuments in the hopes of earning a quick buck or two by the youths who have been quarantined in Malton.

The Toller Monument was envisage as a monument to rival the Workman Towers in height, then the tallest building in Yagoton. However, due to budget cuts, and some say corruption within City Hall, the monument that was constructed at the end of the day barely reaches halfway up its intended height.
[edit] The Sambone Monument

The Sambone Monument is a statue of a grumpy old man. No one knows who the man is suppose to represent. There is an urban legend that the Sambone Monument is actually Morth Babid in his alterego, although this has been categorically denied by Morth Babid himself.
More recently, a picture of a menacing Cobra with large fangs was drawn on the man's back, perhaps a symbol from one of the local groups in the area. Attempts to remove the defacement have failed, as a newer, more vicious painting is spotted each time after.
[edit] The Rostron Monument

Yagoton [40,19] |
The Rostron Monument is located in the southwest corner of Yagoton. It was built upon the advice of a Chinese geomancer (aka Feng Shui guru) to attract wealth into the suburb. Sadly these days, it attracts only pigeons and bored teenagers looking to scrawl obscene messages for quick laughs.
