Talk page for my Urban Dead Combat Calculator. When I update it, I'll make note of it here.

Latest Update

14:04, 12 Feb 2006 (GMT):

  • Death Grip: changed the base claw and Death Grip hit percentage to reflect the recent update.

Known Bugs

  • Body Building: you must check off Body Building for yourself before you can enter a HP value greater than 50 (bug) and unchecking Body Building drops your HP down to 50 if it was greater (feature).

Future Plans

  • Ammo: show how many APs it takes to find ammo. The problem with this is that it can be found in almost every building (and lying in the streets too), and have different chance of success depending on the building and Bargain Hunting. In the meantime, check out the various Search Odds pages.
  • Colour coding: each time you select a skill, the hit percentage of the affected weapons will update either red or green. This would mainly be useful for future skills that would give weird bonuses to, say, pistols and baseball bats but not shotguns and flares.
  • FireFox: either as an extension or a GreaseMonkey script. I'm looking into it.
  • Tangling Grasp : new zombie skill
  • Variance: I've been thinking about how to include the idea of variance.

Feedback

There is a Help page for the most rudimentary questions on how to use the UDCC. Any bugs or suggestions can go below. Please remember to sign them with your sig so I can brag to my friends about who's been visiting my page.

Knife Combat needs to be updated. The hit % has gone up to 50% and it still reads and calculates at 40%. Thanks, Doc Haliday

PS. Please give me a Large Scalpel. :)

I've fixed this. --dayfat 03:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

It seems like you should at least count the cost of loading firearms, if not the cost of finding ammo. It costs an extra 1 AP per shot for shotgun, whereas pistol is .2 AP per shot. Thus, the shotgun APs are way too low. --Captain Beefheart 22:13, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

The problem with this is that there's too many variables to take into account: did they search in a mall? with the shopping skill? with power? do they have one shotgun that needs to be constantly reloaded? or five? --dayfat 03:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I was wondering if you were still around and working on your planned updates for the calculator, it's a very useful tool.--Karekmaps?! 13:23, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
