Pk'ed

Hey Larith, I was hoping maybe you could help me out. Last night I was Pk'ed and now my guy (Caleb Usher) is standing in the carpark next to Downe Towers. I recently refurbished that Wiki page so I know that it's a revive point for DvB. If you could let someone with a revive syringe know that would be great. I think it's kinda ironic... both Caleb, and my alt Sgt Hoss, both have only died due to PKing. A kinda sad state of affairs if you ask me. Ah well. I didn't catch the guy's name, but it was in the southeast corner of the mall. I think Prvt Jimmy was there so he might have the name. I don't really bother with the revenge stuff unless someone were to PK me more than once. So far this has only happened twice, one per character. As it's just a game I try not to let it bother me.

I guess this means there will be a delay in the daily NecroNet report from the Waish Building. :P -- Mobius187 8:06 AM, Mar 9th 2006 (EST)

  • Oh, and as to why you can't move the DvB Wiki page... uh, that would be my fault. Remember I said I had created a redirect page? Well as that page exists moving your Wiki page would overwrite it and that's not allowed. Crap. I'll request a "speedy delete" for the redirect page and the moment it's gone I'll move your group's Wiki page from DVB to DvB. How does that sound? -- Mobius187 8:10 AM, Mar 9th 2006 (EST)
    • Uh, scratch that revive request. Some guy named Bloody One revived me. Funny story, after I arrived at the carpark I was hit twice by a Fireman (6 damage) and shot 5 times by another guy (20 damage... I have a Flak Jacket for this reason). Then I chatted with a friend that I was a "XP magnet" and people were ignoring the "DvB no hunting" tag. To prove my point I signed in a few minutes ago and found myself shot twice more by, well, Bloody One... so I ran 2 blocks away. He followed and, using common sense (i.e. a live zombie ran), revived me. I would like to make the following suggestion:

Move the revive point to "a wasteland" located on the west side of Downe Towers. Why? Because then you're no longer in sight of the PD to the southeast of the carpark. Low level survivors will always jump at the chance to shoot a zombie and one standing next door is too much of a temptation. There were 2 dead bodies in the carpark already (maybe DvB members looking for revives, but bagged by would-be zombie hunters who ignore the tags). You might also want to have runners visit resource buildings and spraypaint tags declaring your revive point... then have someone speak and say that survivors who hunt non-Brain Rot zombies in that location will be shot for as much damage as they inflicted on the zombie looking for a revive. That should act as a warning to deter fortune hunters looking for a quick kill (XP). -- Mobius187 8:48 AM, Mar 9th 2006 (EST)
      • FYI, a Moderator saw my request for the Delete/Move and took action. You are now the proud owner of Dead vs Blue. No more redirect page. All sorted out. -- Mobius187 9:52 PM, Mar 9th 2006 (EST)
        • In answer to your note, there is no more redirect. The Moderator deleted the redirect page (Dead vs Blue) and then performed a Move action (as I had suggested) on Dead Vs Blue, moving it all to Dead vs Blue. So you're good now. I also fixed all the links pointing to the old page name. -- Mobius187 8:01 PM, Mar 11th 2006 (EST)
