General Information

Group name: Army Control Corps

Goals: Reclaiming 'tainted lands', holding safehouses and Counter Offensives

Future goals: Destroying the zombie threat at its source and retaking Malton.

Membership: Humans only (Note that Civilians and Scientists also accepted with open arms, not just Military)

Alliances: As a former member of the Alliance of Giddings, most of the former groups of that organisation are on friendly terms with us; as are most other survivor groups. Specific groups of mention with whom we are allied to are: the Creedy Defense Force, M.E.R.C.Y., and The Fortress.

Notes: All those who want to join (any level or class) may do so - whether you prefer combat or just surviving, we can find you all a place within the ACC. Also, the ACC does not recognize the claimed authority of any self-appointed leadership organisation. Only the authority of democratic alliances shall be upheld.

Ranks

The current ranking system of the Army Control Corps:

High Command Commissioned Officers Non-Commissioned Officers Enlisted New Recruit
Colonel First Lieutenant Sergeant Private Trainee
Major Second Lieutenant Corporal
Captain

The High Command

The High Command is the central core of Officers in the ACC. They head the various divisions and make vital decisions that affect the rest of the Corps. The High Command (or HC) currently comprises:

  • Commanding Officer - Colonel SaulKD
  • Infantry Corps Commanders - Captains 1337 Private & Zed Pro
  • Medical Corps Chief Medical Officer - Major Munq (ACC Second in Command)

Trainee Corps

Newly recruited troops will be assigned to this division automatically before ascendancy to the Combat Squads. Training will occur independently of the main group when experience is needed, otherwise, new recruits will link up with the main force. The duty of an Army Control Corps Trainee is as follows:

  • Reach Level 5
  • Maintain proper communication on the forum
  • Become acquainted with the mechanics of survival (if new to Malton)
  • Develop skills necessary to become proficient within or assume the intended Job Position

Composition

The majority of Army Control Corps members are currently divided amongst two Combat Squads, and each is currently headed by members of HC with CO's acting as Second in Command. Objectives are assigned between them to ensure optimal efficiency in carrying out various Operations. Additionally, each member has chosen a Job Specialty which designates their particular role in the group. Listed below is an explanation of what this exactly entails:

Expected to meet the Zombies head-on. Emphasis is combat with basic duties in barricade maintenance and minimal self-healing. Required to heal and revive personnel and local survivors. Their importance gives medics revive priority over all other personnel. Emphasis is a proactive, supportive position translated into having 30% minimum of one's encumbrances fully dedicated to medical supplies. Members assume an infantry role when there is no healing or reviving necessary. Ensures buildings are repaired, barricaded, and powered when necessary. Often clears and repairs buildings for infantry to occupy. Inventory typically includes a toolbox, spare generator and fuel by default. Provides reconnaissance of target areas as well as providing BH support when PK'ers openly attack ACC Personnel. Assumes any other role required as they see fit when not carrying out other duties.

The History of The ACC

Swiper's Retirement

Following the brief war against the New CoL (caused by some disagreements and confused communications), Swiper decided it would be best if he retired. As such, he posted a farewell on the forums, made some suggestions as to a successor and left.

On the 29th of December 2005 returned to the group he created to rebuild the ACC, which was crippled after his idiotic move to directly oppose the New CoL; and he was thus reinstated as commander.

The April Reformation

By April 2006, the ACC was quiet. No united official operations were going on, a lot of the experienced members were simply not posting. The most active board was the off-topic one.

Myo, a Major of the ACC and one of the forum's Admins decided that enough was enough. With Swiper's support he took apart the forums and rebuilt significant parts of them. He also declared that everyone, including himself but with the sole exception of Swiper, must reapply and should they either not do so or not be accepted they would be considered inactive and thus be removed from the ACC. Since then a lot has happened. The ACC has become much more unified, organised and active since then. And the newly created High Command simply hope that it will continue to be so.

CDF-ACC Disputes

There have been a number of disputes of all kinds over the summer of 2006 between the long-standing allies the Creedy Defence Force and the Army Control Corps. This was mainly due to clashes between Swiper and a number of the CDF leadership figures. However, thanks to some extensive efforts made by several key figures in both organizations, these problems have been pretty much resolved. Although there were some concerns over Swiper's status; as although he had not officially taken a leave of absence, he effectively had, and had formed the NMO; an anti-CDF organization.

After a lot of confusion and a lack of activity or information from Swiper (due to real life commitments) this eventually resulted in a lot of confusion. In the end, Major Myo took over as CO after a vote and with the support of Swiper.

Not long after this, Acting Special Forces Commander Ranceblc resigned over the whole NMO conspiracy, which eventually turned out to be a sort of 'test' conducted independently by a small group of officers. Rance felt he had been backstabbed by said officers and left to work as a permanent PKer. Since then Rance (aka Johnny Reb) spent some time on the forums. He apparently felt hard-done to and seemed to relish stirring up trouble on the forums. Eventually his account was banned as it could not be deleted as per his request.

Current Activities

Operation: Barrel Roll - Ongoing as of August 29, 2008

After the assault on Ridleybank, both echos moved out to restore the Suburbs of Galbraith Hills and Shore Hills. These suburbs were completely ruined at the start of the operation, but are now slowly becoming safer.
