History and Significance

Club-namesake Eddie Izzard

When there is power in the building, the TV above the bar plays DVDs of club-namesake Eddie Izzard's standup performances, including "Dress To Kill", "Glorious", and "Circle". When the building is unpowered, it is lit by candles in winebottles, and there is an open mic night, using a local cop's megaphone. Without power, the beer pumps shut off, so the landlord always has a couple of casks of London Pride handy. The building is guarded by killer bees, and wolves in a small hatchback car.
