Description
Who would name a public place of gathering after a freakin' coffin? It's like they knew the zombie apocalypse was coming.
History
Coffin Park, despite being part of Crooketon, was the home grounds for the local Grigg Heights football team, the Grigg Piggs. Because Grigg Heights had no parkland in their suburb, the team was forced to locate here around the time of Grigg's massive development wave through the 1970s.
The Piggs, despite being a Grigg Heights institution, did not adapt well to the change and crowd numbers declined as the team showed poor results over the years. Fans of the local Crooketon Cats would often come and donate their own bacon to cook on the grounds' game day BBQ and then throw it on the field before a Piggs match.

Past News
August 7th, 2007: Drama Club staged a special performance of "Army of Darkness" for zombies at Coffin Park as part of their Border Tour of Malton. The group is traveling clockwise around the border suburbs of Malton with one show in each suburb. Today they performed for the 2 zombies and one very gutsy survivor here as part of this tour.
