Description
A gloomy cul-de-sac, although its walled ends have since fallen into disrepair, allowing access into Ruddlebank - as if anyone with a half-decent brain wants to go there.
History
Cull Walk was where Sir Walter Wyke's wild boar hunts inevitably ended - permanently, in the case of the boars. As the name suggests, this was where the captured or killed boars were collected and slaughtered for banqueting purposes later that evening. Henry VIII himself is thought to have taken part in such festivities, at least until he decided Wyke himself was due to be culled, for indulging in 'porking' of a different kind.
